What I learned from 1,000 runs in my game
Instead of guessing game balance, I tracked real player data from my tower survivor prototype.
~1,000 runs later:
→ Median vs average is INSANE
→ Top 1% completely distort the stats
→ Engagement is way higher than expected
→ Progression curve is clearly off
