⚙️ Bolt.New v2 + Claude Code: The Hype vs Reality
Bolt recently dropped v2 with full Claude Code integration, and there’s been a ton of hype around it being the “next big thing” for AI app building. I decided to test it properly — not just for a day, but for a full week — and compare it with Lovable Cloud, which now lets you create a backend and integrate AI features literally in one click. Here’s what I learned after 7 days of real-world testing: - ⚡ The speed of Bolt v2 is impressive, but it still struggles with complex multi-step builds. - 🧠 Claude Code adds a big boost in reasoning, but the output often needs cleanup. - ☁️ Lovable Cloud’s one-click backend + AI integration still feels ahead in terms of usability. - 🤖 Bolt’s automation potential is there — but not yet as seamless as the hype makes it sound. I documented the full experience — the good, the frustrating, and what I think these tools mean for builders using AI to create real products. Curious — for those testing these new AI dev tools, what’s been your experience so far? Are we getting closer to “true AI development,” or still just scratching the surface? —Shubham
