How do you guys attract GOOD clients (not unrealistic ones)?
I need some real advice from people who are already getting results.
For the past 2–3 months, I’ve been doing outreach for website development + basic SEO + Google Business optimization.
But the problem is — I’m attracting the wrong type of clients.
Most of them:
- Want 30–40 leads/month from the very first month
- Don’t want to run ads
- Expect fast results from organic SEO
- Don’t understand how websites actually work
As we all know:
Organic SEO takes time (3–6 months minimum).
A website is more like a portfolio + conversion system, not a magic lead machine overnight.
I also optimize Google Business profiles + do local SEO (directories, etc.)
Example:
One of my clients:
- Was getting ~4 calls/month before
- After optimization → ~7 calls/month in 2 months
- Ranking improved to ~13th position
Not crazy results, but still progress.
But he doesn’t even count that as a win.
So clearly I’m attracting the wrong clients.
Right now, I’m doing outreach mainly through:
- Facebook pages → WhatsApp messages
(No cold calling because I’m not a native English speaker yet)
My questions:
1. How do you attract clients who actually understand the process and don’t expect instant results?
2. What outreach method works best for you? (DM, email, calls, something else?)
3. How do you position your offer so clients don’t expect unrealistic outcomes?
4. What’s a fair price range for website + basic SEO/Google optimization?
I feel like my problem is not skill — it’s the type of clients I’m attracting.
Would really appreciate honest advice 🙏
