How do professionals handle website projects from build to lead tracking and SEO?
Hey everyone, I’m currently working as a website developer, and I’m trying to take my workflow from “beginner/freelancer level” to a more professional, agency-style process. Right now, my website workflow looks like this: I build websites using Antigravity AI. I study high-quality websites in the same niche for inspiration on layout, structure, and sections, then create a unique version for the client. I rewrite the copy, improve the structure, refine the UI/UX, and make sure the site is focused on generating enquiries. I connect forms using tools like Formspree or Web3Forms. I add click-to-call buttons, WhatsApp CTAs, and enquiry forms. I create service pages and location pages, and I optimize the site for local SEO. I also optimize the client’s Google Business Profile and submit the business to relevant local directories. I’m still early in my journey, so I’d really like to understand how more experienced developers or agencies handle this end to end. My main questions are: Is using Formspree or Web3Forms considered a professional setup, or is there a better long-term approach for forms and lead tracking? How do you usually manage client contact forms, for example with a backend, database, CRM, email automation, or another system? What is the professional way to store and manage client data, and how do you track leads, traffic, conversions, citations, and SEO performance? What analytics and tracking tools do you set up by default for most clients, such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Tag Manager, CRM, call tracking, or anything else? How do you improve the UI, design quality, and overall feel of a website so it does not look AI-generated? Are there any design principles, resources, or workflows you follow? What does your typical post-launch SEO workflow look like? For local SEO, how long do you usually tell clients it may take before they start seeing meaningful results? Based on my current workflow, what would you change to make it more professional, scalable, or agency-level?

I need some advice from people who are already selling AI automation services.
I’m planning to offer a simple automation for local businesses (like landscapers, plumbers, etc.): The idea is: They upload their work images/videos → automation automatically posts on Facebook / Instagram / maybe YouTube. So basically “auto content posting system”. But I’m confused about the delivery part: 1. If I build this using tools like Make.com, the client won’t know how to manage it 2. They don’t understand automation tools or workflows 3. If I give them full access, they might break it or not use it properly So my questions are: - Do you guys give full control to the client, or do you manage everything yourself? - Is it better to keep this as a monthly service instead of one-time delivery? - How do you structure pricing for this kind of automation? (setup + monthly?) - What’s a reasonable monthly retainer for managing this? I’m still a beginner, so I want to understand the correct way to deliver this service in real-world scenarios. Would really appreciate your advice 🙏

@Malik Waqar Nice. How much retainer fee should be good for this type of automation according to you?
How do you guys attract GOOD clients (not unrealistic ones)?
I need some real advice from people who are already getting results. For the past 2–3 months, I’ve been doing outreach for website development + basic SEO + Google Business optimization. But the problem is — I’m attracting the wrong type of clients. Most of them: - Want 30–40 leads/month from the very first month - Don’t want to run ads - Expect fast results from organic SEO - Don’t understand how websites actually work As we all know: Organic SEO takes time (3–6 months minimum). A website is more like a portfolio + conversion system, not a magic lead machine overnight. I also optimize Google Business profiles + do local SEO (directories, etc.) Example: One of my clients: - Was getting ~4 calls/month before - After optimization → ~7 calls/month in 2 months - Ranking improved to ~13th position Not crazy results, but still progress. But he doesn’t even count that as a win. So clearly I’m attracting the wrong clients. Right now, I’m doing outreach mainly through: - Facebook pages → WhatsApp messages (No cold calling because I’m not a native English speaker yet) My questions: 1. How do you attract clients who actually understand the process and don’t expect instant results? 2. What outreach method works best for you? (DM, email, calls, something else?) 3. How do you position your offer so clients don’t expect unrealistic outcomes? 4. What’s a fair price range for website + basic SEO/Google optimization? I feel like my problem is not skill — it’s the type of clients I’m attracting. Would really appreciate honest advice 🙏

@Shiv pratap Singh sure i will focus on my offer so they don't expect more.
Am I wrong here? Need honest advice from experienced people.
I recently started offering websites + basic SEO/Google Business optimization. Since I’m new, I kept my pricing very low ($29/month) to get clients and build proof. One of my clients (gardening business), here’s what I did over 3 months: - Built his website - Optimized his Google Business profile - Listed him on directories - Created posts, videos, and basic social content Results so far: - Google ranking improved (not even top 30 → now around 13–16) - Calls increased (around 4/month → ~7/month) - Website generated 1 lead (same country, real person) Now here’s the issue: From my perspective, a “result” = getting a lead (someone submitting a form). The client did receive that lead, but he wasn’t able to connect with them (no reply / no answer), so he’s calling it a “fake lead.” He also says the Google improvements don’t count because he created the profile himself. His expectation is basically: “If I don’t get actual jobs, then I paid for nothing.” So I want to ask: 1. As a developer / beginner marketer — is generating a lead considered a result? Or only when the client closes the job? 2. How do you deal with clients who expect guaranteed jobs in 1–3 months from SEO? 3. At what point do you decide to walk away from a client like this? 4. Is my pricing attracting the wrong type of clients? I genuinely want to improve and learn, so I’d really appreciate honest feedback — even if I’m wrong here.

@A-t Williams Exactly, some client wants to rob from developer.
Am I behind in AI automation? Need honest guidance
Hey everyone, I want some honest advice from people who are already working in AI automation. I started learning AI automation in 2025. I understood the tools and concepts, but I got stuck when it came to real-world application — like: - How do you actually deliver automation projects to clients? - Who pays for APIs (OpenAI, tools, etc.) — me or the client? - How do you price and structure these services? - How do you even get clients for automation? Because of that confusion, I switched to something simpler — building websites using AI. I’ve been doing that for the past 2–3 months and got a few clients, so I understand that model better. But now I feel like I’m falling behind in AI automation. I see people using tools like Make.com, Zapier, AI agents, etc., and I don’t fully understand: - What is actually working right now in 2026? - Are people still using no-code tools like Make.com? - Or is everything shifting to custom code and AI agents? I want to get back into automation, but this time properly — with real delivery, real clients, and a clear system. If you’re currently working in this space, I’d really appreciate your honest advice: - What should I focus on right now? - What skills/tools actually matter today? - How do you structure and deliver automation projects to clients? Thanks in advance 🙏
