Hi everyone, quick question for those working in AI / automation services.
I’ve been thinking about how to structure a more efficient workflow when working with clients. I come from a development background (5+ years), and I’ve noticed that a lot of the bottlenecks aren’t technical — they’re around communication, scoping, and managing client relationships.
So I’m exploring a split model where:
- one person focuses on client communication, discovery, and ongoing relationship
- the other focuses purely on building and delivery
In theory, it seems like a cleaner way to scale and play to strengths, especially in AI/automation projects where clarity upfront matters a lot.
Curious if anyone here has tried a similar setup? What worked, what didn’t, and what would you do differently?
