Fal.ai alternatives for dev + privacy-focused options?

I’ve been testing Fal.ai for some AI integrations, but I’m finding it a bit pricey for ongoing dev/testing.

I’m currently looking into Kie.ai as a cheaper alternative, but I’d love to hear from the community:

Are there other cheaper options you’ve used for development/prototyping with n8n?
Any recommendations for privacy-focused alternatives that still integrate smoothly with n8n?

Curious what setups people are using — both budget-friendly and privacy-first.
