What you built: I built a newsletter related to local service businesses, specifically a Cleaning Business. Added some known sources and competitors to Perplexity to guide the research. This small project seems powerful for myself and to other local service businesses.
One thing you learned: Well, there was more than one thing for sure. But, this project helped me conceptualize a system for researching content and styles from other businesses, while introducing me to a way to help design the output.
One thing you’d improve: I was not “wowed” by the design choices of nanobanana, and the back and forth about details gets long and a bit tedious. I ended up just manually editing the CSS file. The biggest improvement was taking the Workspace, after I had completed what is shown here, and incorporating Open Design. This was something I was looking forward to anyway. I still need to tinker with it, as Open Design is a whole world unto itself.
Now I need to make a better Brand Kit like Nate shows. Did anyone make one of these? I'm gonna try to make a SKILL or MD file to guide this.
Day 2 incoming!
