Why Most Sales Professionals Sound Broke (even if they aren't)
Here’s a fun little hack to tighten your pitch and sound like a pro:
Pretend every word costs you $5.
Seriously. Say it out loud.
"Every word in my pitch costs me $5."
Now picture you’re on a call.
You start rambling…
You hit minute 3 of explaining something that should’ve taken 12 seconds…
And all I hear is cha-ching cha-ching cha-ching — you lighting your paycheck on fire.
🔥 Every filler word = $5.
🔥 Every fluffy monologue = $200.
🔥 Every tangent = your commission walking out the door.
When you anchor yourself to this model, it changes everything.
You pause more.
You listen better.
You say less… but it lands harder.
You know you're speaking to someone with influence when their words PUNCH. You can feel it. They don't need to explain. They let people lean in, ask their own questions, make sense of the words themselves.
And damn, was this something I had to work on myself (still am lol).
But this tip helped me.
