Community Guidelines
As this is a space where we're exploring emotions, it's important that we have rules so we can create this space as safe as possible. Here's a reminder of the rules. 1. General Rules (you'll have heard these ones before) - No Judgement - Be Open Minded - No Harm - Be Kind - if you got nothing nice to say don’t say anything at all - No Spam - No Selling 2. Posting Guides - Share what happened - Ideally share what you did to try and regulate emotions (even if it means you reached out and came to wrote this post!) - No Trauma Dump (this is not typical Therapy where we unearth things but if you need this sort of support please reach out to me so we can see if 121 sessions would be better) 3. Commenting Rules - Please do answer questions - helps building emotional intelligence & support emotional regulation (not a must) - Be kind - no judgement - If you got nothing nice to say - say nothing at all - As you’ve joined a space where the aim is to support you with emotional regulation I’ll be giving you always advice about managing emotions. - No legal, medical or other professional advice - you can share your own experiences though. If you got any concerns about someone's behaviour please click on the 3 dots next to the comment or post and there's an option to report it to admin (aka me) x
What triggers RSD for you?
For me it's when you're having a conversation and the other person looks at their phone. FYI - I stop the conversation then and there because in my opinion it's rude.
What triggers RSD for you?
There's no such thing as a silly question
so anything that you've ever wondered about RSD, anger especially as a neurodivergent person - maybe even thought 'why do I do that??' ask away. We have a wee session next Wednesday which I'd love for you to attend and the aim is ultimately to help you understand yourself better, raise awareness and discuss things that can be done to make your life easier. At the end of the day - emotional regulation is a skill.

There's no such thing as a silly question
I just wanted to tell you
Regulating emotions is harder before the period even if you've prioritised yourself and have had 100 bubble baths and chocolate bars. But sometimes that's all you can do - make yourself comfortable while waiting the storm to pass. And that's perfectly enough too and not a reflection of your shortcomings. ❣️
