@David W Okay. That tariff point is actually very interesting. I was only viewing tariffs through the reshoring lens. I hadn't considered that it also sends more USD abroad for all of those USD-denominated contracts. I'm near Austin, TX, so the reshoring efforts are very apparent here. But I can see how it is more political fantasy than practical reality at scale. (Especially considering the cost difference.) @Brody Alden Default still feels inconceivable to me too. Not because the debt is insignificant, but because there is no viable runner-up to the USD/Treasury system. I guess the question becomes: what would have to change for that to no longer be true?
