Agreed again. USD seems to be the only global reserve currency capable, with no viable runner-ups. (Despite a few small attempts) You said increased USD adoption 3+ years from now? I haven't heard this before. What are the catalysts for this? (wondering if it relates to current reshoring efforts)

@David W Okay. That tariff point is actually very interesting. I was only viewing tariffs through the reshoring lens. I hadn't considered that it also sends more USD abroad for all of those USD-denominated contracts. I'm near Austin, TX, so the reshoring efforts are very apparent here. But I can see how it is more political fantasy than practical reality at scale. (Especially considering the cost difference.) @Brody Alden Default still feels inconceivable to me too. Not because the debt is insignificant, but because there is no viable runner-up to the USD/Treasury system. I guess the question becomes: what would have to change for that to no longer be true?
Concerns regarding ₿’s future
https://youtu.be/MAA2BA8OBqo?is=wCh1VxST7ujeQWjJ Summ: Bitcoin maximalists fear that institutional and developer control over non-financial data usage is domesticating the network, compromising its decentralization goals. I think this is potentially an incurable disease for the bitcoin network, as it has no governance layer.

Seems like another step against Bitcoin’s sovereignty through spam of all things. But it's not just about JPEGs or junk files. This makes it harder for regular people to run their own node and verify the network for themselves. And that slowly pushes people to rely on custodians and institutions. Bitcoin may remain decentralized on paper, but that means little if everyday people are priced or pressured out. Still, I would not count out the cypherpunk community. They have a history of finding a way when the system becomes... rigged. ⛓️‍💥
