Day 10: Write Your Bio
Good morning! Day 10 might feel vulnerable. You're writing about yourself, your skills, and who you help. I get it. I struggled with this too. After 20 years as an Executive Assistant, I still felt weird 'selling' myself. Talking about what I was good at felt uncomfortable. But here's what I learned: Your bio isn't bragging. It's helping potential clients understand if you're the right fit for them. You're not trying to impress everyone. You're trying to connect with YOUR people. Keep it simple. Keep it clear. And make it about THEM, not just you. What problem do you solve? Who do you help? Why should they trust you? That's your bio. TODAY'S TASK: Write a short bio (3-5 sentences) that explains: 1. What you do 2. Who you help 3. Why you're qualified (skills/experience) Example: 'I'm [Name], a Virtual Assistant or Remote Business Owner specializing in [your area of expertise] for small businesses and nonprofits. With 10+ years of experience in project management and operations, I help business owners reclaim their time by handling the tasks that keep them stuck behind their desks. Let me take care of the details so you can focus on growing your business.' Write yours. Save it. You'll use this everywhere. SHARE YOUR BIO in the comments (or just the first sentence if you're feeling shy). Let's practice talking about what we do!

Day 9: Week 2 - Set Up Your Meeting Tools
Good morning! Day 9 is about preparing for the moment you've been working toward: your first discovery call. When I landed my first potential client, I scrambled to figure out how to schedule a call. I didn't have systems in place. It was messy. Don't make that mistake. Set up your Zoom and Calendly accounts NOW, before you need them. When a potential client says 'let's talk,' you want to look professional and prepared. Zoom is free for 40-minute calls. Calendly is free for basic scheduling. That's all you need to start. These tools don't just make you look professional - they save you time. No more back-and-forth emails trying to find a time that works. **TODAY'S TASK:** 1. Set up a free Zoom account - Use your business email - Test it to make sure it works - Bookmark your personal meeting room link 2. Set up a free Calendly account - Connect your calendar - Set your availability - Create a '30-minute discovery call' event type - Copy your Calendly link (you'll need this for Day 18) **COMMENT BELOW** when you've set up both tools. Tell us: Are you nervous or excited about discovery calls? Both? 💜

Day 6: Set Up a Simple System to Organize Your Business Ideas
Good morning! Day 6 is all about getting ORGANIZED - and if you know me, you know I love a good system. Here's the truth: I already had systems in place when I started my VA business. After 20 years as an Executive Assistant, I knew how to manage projects, track details, and keep things from falling through the cracks. But that didn't mean I had everything figured out. I made PLENTY of mistakes. Clients who canceled after I'd done the work. Projects that took longer than I planned. Pricing that didn't account for the real time involved. Every time something went wrong, I learned. And I adjusted my systems. That's what Day 6 is about - creating a place where you can track what's working, what's not, and what you're learning as you build. You don't need fancy software. You don't need a $500 course on systems. You just need a simple place to organize your thoughts, your services, your pricing ideas, your client notes. A Google Doc works. A Notion page works. A notebook works. The point is: You're building something REAL. Treat it like a real business, even on Day 6. TODAY'S TASK: Set up a simple Google Doc, Notion page, or notebook to organize your business ideas. Create sections for: - Services I'm offering (from Day 3) - Pricing ideas (what I'm thinking about charging) - Ideal client notes (from Day 5) - Things I'm learning (mistakes, wins, adjustments) - Questions I have (things I need to figure out) This is YOUR business hub. Keep it simple, but keep it organized. A note from my journey: Systems protect you. They protect your time, your income, and your energy. Start building them now, even when you don't have clients yet. That 50% retainer rule? That early termination clause? Those didn't exist until I got burned. Learn from my mistakes - build your protection into your process from the beginning. COMMENT BELOW when you've set up your system. Tell us: What format are you using? Google Doc? Notion? A physical notebook? Let's get organized.

Day 8: Make It Official: Your Business Name
Good morning, Week 2 crew! Last week you figured out your WHY, your skills, your services. This week? We make it REAL. Day 8 is where your business gets a name and an identity. When I started, I didn't overthink this. I knew I wanted something simple, professional, and that reflected what I did. Your business name doesn't have to be perfect. It just has to be YOURS. Some of you will know exactly what you want to call your business. Others will struggle with this for days. Here's my advice: Keep it simple. Make it clear what you do. And don't get stuck here - you can always rebrand later if you need to. The business email is just as important. This separates your personal life from your business. And it makes you look professional from Day 1. **TODAY'S TASK:** 1. Decide on your business name (research your name in your state to make sure it's available). - Keep it simple and clear - Make sure the Gmail address is available - Examples: [YourName] Virtual Solutions, [YourName] Admin Support, [YourName] Business Services 2. Create a free Gmail account for your business - Use your business name - This is what clients will see - Set up a professional signature **COMMENT BELOW** with your business name when you've set it up. Let's celebrate this milestone together! 🎉
