Good morning!
Day 6 is all about getting ORGANIZED - and if you know me, you know I love a good system.
Here's the truth: I already had systems in place when I started my VA business. After 20 years as an Executive Assistant, I knew how to manage projects, track details, and keep things from falling through the cracks.
But that didn't mean I had everything figured out.
I made PLENTY of mistakes. Clients who canceled after I'd done the work. Projects that took longer than I planned. Pricing that didn't account for the real time involved.
Every time something went wrong, I learned. And I adjusted my systems.
That's what Day 6 is about - creating a place where you can track what's working, what's not, and what you're learning as you build.
You don't need fancy software. You don't need a $500 course on systems. You just need a simple place to organize your thoughts, your services, your pricing ideas, your client notes.
A Google Doc works. A Notion page works. A notebook works.
The point is: You're building something REAL. Treat it like a real business, even on Day 6.
TODAY'S TASK:
Set up a simple Google Doc, Notion page, or notebook to organize your business ideas.
Create sections for:
- Services I'm offering (from Day 3)
- Pricing ideas (what I'm thinking about charging)
- Ideal client notes (from Day 5)
- Things I'm learning (mistakes, wins, adjustments)
- Questions I have (things I need to figure out)
This is YOUR business hub. Keep it simple, but keep it organized.
A note from my journey:
Systems protect you. They protect your time, your income, and your energy. Start building them now, even when you don't have clients yet.
That 50% retainer rule? That early termination clause? Those didn't exist until I got burned. Learn from my mistakes - build your protection into your process from the beginning.
COMMENT BELOW when you've set up your system. Tell us: What format are you using? Google Doc? Notion? A physical notebook?
Let's get organized.
