I’m quitting copywriting.
Not in the way you think. I’m quitting calling myself a copywriter. Because every time I used that label, I noticed something... prospects instantly undervalued the work. What I’ve learned over these months is simple, you should never tell people you’re a copywriter. you should show them. Why? Because everyone is exhausted from hearing, “I’m a copywriter, I’ll make you $10k in 2 minutes!!!" Come on. Prospects have heard that promise a thousand times. And most of the time, it means nothing. So when it comes to outreach, I stopped asking: “How do I introduce myself?” And started asking: “How do I stand out to this specific prospect?” Not by doing what everyone else does. But by proving value before claiming a title. Skills speak louder than labels.
