Stop trying to quit EVERY addiction at once... Youโ€™ll just snap back
Alright yo what's up boyz, so I wasted lots and lots of time on my phone. I watched YT, IG, played chess and yes, I was down so bad that I even watched vids from popular creators on Spotify. On average I was consuming roughly 6-7h daily. Ngl, very long. Always was sleep deprived the next day when I had to go to school. So therefore I just decided to stop everything at once cos I thought to myself why not. And you know what? Worked for 2 weeks and then snapped back. Why? Because I spent watching very short amounts of time on vids on Spotify and my brain just coped and decided to stop depriving myself of every addiction because I already had broken the "rules". So what should you do instead of trying to solve everything at once? And don't get me wrong. It should be your goal to get your own time back and eventually stop it all. But you have to do it GRADUALLY. Don't attack everything all at once. It's just a lost battle. Instead of stopping YT, IG, TikTok, TV, chess, ... at once, you only focus on the worst addiction first. For me that was YouTube. Only focus on stopping one addiction (e. g. YT) for 1-2 weeks. After that time period, you've created a small identity which states that you're someone who doesn't watch YT. And now you move on to the next worst addiction and tell yourself to stop consuming YT AND IG. Do that again for 1-2 weeks. Repeat this cycle until you've destroyed them all. This is important as well: If you're forbidding yourself to watch YT, then you ARE allowed to consume the other addictions you have. Always always always keep replacing. Do anything, EXCEPT watching YT. This is the thing that has worked for me so far. That's it! If you've got still some questions my man, do not hesitate to ask. I'm always glad help someone to quit social media and other stuff.

F*ck I hate YouTube, I wasted years because of this pleasure
I used to waste AT LEAST 7h per day consuming content. Most of it was on YT. If you do the quick math and calculate 7h ร— 7 days, you're at 49h spent PER week with nothing. My week only consisted of 5 real days if you understand what I mean. And I had to deal with this problem for almost 2 years now... Made a short loom today where I share my story with you on one of the days when I wasted 8 hours on YouTube. If you have to deal with similar problems, then just write down a quick comment and Iet's help each other out my brother ๐Ÿ’ช

๐Ÿ”ฅHow to make social media easily way less desiring
I always used to watch TikToks before I learned about these tricks you can use in order to stop wasting time on social media. Made a short little loom vid to help you make your bad habits more unattractive. I apologize that I didn't go into to much detail because there is a 5 min recording limit on loom. I guess I have to create a new account to receive a new free trial on loom in order make longer vids haha lol. Nah, but I also do think as well that shorter & preciser vids are also better. What's your opinion on this? Anyways, if you have any more questions, then ask me especially if you're struggling with the addictions on your phone. Stay strong ๐Ÿ’ช

How to boost your mental health massively
But not just your mental health. I'll show you a little trick on how you can literally become way more confident, have a way higher self-esteem and basically have more respect for yourself. Let me tell you a short story: I was sitting in bus because I had to go to the barber in my city. And then out nowhere there was this beautiful looking girl in my bus. She was pretty, I mean like blue eyes, black hear, had the hourglass body shape and so on. I really wanted to cold approach her and get her number lol Problem was that I always used to fail in these kind of situations. I always used to say like I'll do it but then just walked away in shame because I was too afraid. But instead of foreseeing my failure, I told myself that I deserved to cold approach her and why I deserved it. Normally I wouldn't do that but I just counted up the things I already had achieved that day. My wins. I felt that I just couldn't fail because I was already fucking proud of myself because I already had achieved more than these average people out there. And when we both exited the bus, I just went up to her without even feeling anxious or nervous at all. You see? You can literally boost your mental health and your confidence any time you want. You just have understand this concept of automatic vs. manual thoughts in order to control and create thoughts and feelings you actually want. Just understand: If you want to have good mental health, you must have automatic positive thoughts. Automatic thoughts are basically just the thoughts that you have throughout the day that you can't control. And the more positive thoughts you have, the better because this is what makes you mentally stronger. But how do we control and create these automatic positive thoughts? Through producing positive thoughts you plant in manually. The more often you do that, the more automatic positive thoughts you'll have at the end. So instead of wandering around mindlessly, just remind yourself of ANY accomplishment you have achieved. Recall your victories. Even if they are small.

@Deniz U Atm, it's my mission to help men who're struggling to achieve their goals because they are addicted to stuff like YT If've set myself the promise to make a post about that every single day in other communities. But mental health also plays a huge role with addictions. Atm, I don't have a YT channel but it's definitely my plan to start one. I'll send my channel if I've started one
๐Ÿ“ฑ My average screen time used to be 7h/day
Yepp... Instantly when I came home from school or the gym, I grabbed my phone and just consumed endless amounts on YouTube. Even though I was hungry and wanted to eat something in order to make gains in the gym, I just scrolled around on shorts. I checked the time and felt anxious. It was midnight even though it felt like I was only watching content for 5 minutes. My heart feels heavy and the fear grows and grows but I decide to continue to watch meaningless YT vids. At last, it's 2am in the morning and my phone suddenly shuts down because my battery died. 0% left. Do you think that that turning point was the time when I went to bed? Hell no. Even though I knew continuing this stupid stuff wouldn't serve me in any way, I went out of bed, took my charger, went to the socket on the other side of my room and continued watching BS on my chair inside my room. Eventually I decided to quit and go to bed at some point I don't remember. I felt empty, hopeless, unmotivated all at once because I knew that I would repeat this cycle again tomorrow and be sleep deprived the next day. I literally couldn't make any progress in the gym because I wasn't bulking and getting any rest at all. I was just stuck at 80kg even though I wanted to bulk up one kg every month. I wasn't making progress in my goals for at least 2-3 months. Just wanted to share this story with you in order for you to understand how much more progress I could have made if I had solved this problem earlier. Because overall I was dealing with this problem for almost 2 years now. And I'm still not 100% clean but I've made vast improvements. This shit almost ruined my life. Fix it asap. If you can somewhat relate, just write a quick comment and I'll see how I can help you out brother because I know how it feels if you're down in the hole that deep.

@Deniz U Yeah, it's sad to see this especially because these apps were designed to make you addicted. Think about it! Thousands of scientists have worked on this in order to make you hooked so YT can show you more advertisements
