Intro
Hi everyone, I’m David and I’m 17yo and I trained mma for like 3 years but last summer I had bad knee injury and still waiting on operation, so I can’t train anymore until my knee is healed do you guys have any tips what to do I try light bag work but my knee keeps hurting so I do some weights and bodyweight training at home. Anything helps🙏

Train the brain, read more. Do some light hand workout, stretching, breathing , meditation, till you can get back to kicking ass.
How do you prioritize time for yourself?
I've seen a few post from coaches in the group about finding a work/life balance. This topic for me is always a work in progress for me because depending on the day, rarely are the days consistent to the one before it. Add to that coaching while juggling another job and other responsibilities make training for myself a challenge at times. When I stopped drinking 17yrs ago, I made taking care of my well-being a non-negotiable. I was going to do that for myself. Granted, I wasn't able to always spend as much time as I would like, but I made it happen. It let me know I can control things in my life. My time being one of them. My question to you is: Is prioritizing time for yourself a non-negotiable?

Hello, I am a Strength & Conditioning coach for professional and Amateur MMA and Dirty Boxing fighters. I am also a personal trainer and Nutrition specialist. I currently work at Urijah Faber's Team Alpha Male MMA HQ in Sacramento, CA. My goal is to enhance and sharpen my skills and knowledge in order to give my fighters and clients the best training possible. I served just over 24 yrs in the military and am a decorated combat veteran. I have been retired for 13 years and MMA trainer for 5 yrs and PT for 20+ yrs

Hello! I am an athlete getting back onto the mats. I used to be in the Mentorship program and I'm returning after a year-long break where I was focused on my studies. ​For the next 30 days, my goal is to revisit some materials and brush up on my old knowledge. Good to be back!
