Completed Coursework for Empowering Women in Addiction Recovery
Thank you to ST3/Skool for the opportunity to receive three free courses with a total of three CE hours. Facts that impressed me in the Empowering Women in Addiction Recovery course was 1. Women experience rapid progression toward addiction problems because of their biology (hormones) that impact reinforcing effects of substances, early intervention is important and should include medical care. 2. I was surprised to learn that 55% to 99% of women in treatment have experienced physical or sexual trauma. (I wondered how many women with addiction issues have emotional trauma). Trauma Informed Care must be a key component in successful treatment. It makes sense that women with addiction issues have co-occurring disorders. 3. The training reminds us that women struggle with deciding to enter into treatment for fear of being judged, losing custody of their children and because they fear losing financial support since women are often introduced to their substances by romantic relationships.

Addressing Layers of Complexity (Training for Gender Responsive Sober Living)
Course completed simply by printing and reviewing the 12 slides. Three most interesting facts in the presentation to me included: 1. Important to shift perspective from "What is wrong with you" to "What happened to you" 2. TX Providers/Clinicians/Clients require knowledge of resources to effectively assist clients (to me this includes knowledge of local resources) 3. Clinicians need to understand differences between empathy and sympathy. Empathy is valuable. Sympathy can be harmful. We need to maintain clear boundaries. It is also important to understand difference between behavioral issues and mental health conditions
Learning to Navigate Course Sites. Addressing the Layers of Complexity
I enjoyed the course on Addiction and IPV Connections. Was excited to finally understand out the process for confirming each module and got the certificate. Now I’m in the process of trying to complete the Addresing the Layers of Complexity course This training seems to have a different format. I am seeing 12 slides (that I printed). Again I am struggling to understand the process. Not sure if I am missing the link to videos or if the course is completed simply by reviewing each slide. I appreciate feedback from others who might have completed this course. Thanks

Once I complete review of the slides then what do I need to do in order to show course progress/completion or do I just need to send email again showing I completed the slide review. Thanks for your help

Ok. I think I have figured it out. I printed and reviewed the 12 slides. Then I clicked the check mark in the upper right corner. The 100 percent in green shows. Next I am emailing ST3 and ADACBGA to request the certificate. Saudi CB
👉 41 Deaths. One New Drug. Most People Have Never Heard of It
⚠️ NEW DRUG IN EAST TENNESSEE KILLING PEOPLE AND MOST PEOPLE HAVE NEVER EVEN HEARD OF IT ⚠️ I need you to read this. Seriously. There is a new synthetic opioid showing up in East Tennessee that has already been connected to 41 deaths in just a few months across Knox County and surrounding areas. It’s being called “cychlorphine” (N-Propionitrile Chlorphine). And here’s the part that should scare you: 👉 It may be STRONGER than fentanyl 👉 It is NOT approved for human use 👉 It is being mixed into other drugs without people knowing 👉 And most test kits DON’T EVEN DETECT IT Let that sink in. People are not choosing to take this. They think they are taking: • a pill • cocaine • meth • something “safe” or “normal” for them And instead, they are getting hit with something so strong it can shut their breathing down in minutes. This is not the same world anymore. There used to be a level of predictability with street drugs. That is gone. Now it’s: 👉 unknown chemicals 👉 mixed substances 👉 extreme potency 👉 zero warning You cannot see it You cannot smell it You cannot test for it reliably Even people who have used for years are dying. Not because they suddenly used more. Because what they took was not what they thought it was. And before anyone says “this doesn’t apply to me” Read this carefully: This is showing up in non-opioid drugs too. That means people who have never used opioids in their life are overdosing. One bad mix One time One dose That’s all it takes now. Straight truth There has never been a more dangerous time to use street drugs than right now. Not occasionally Not recreationally Not “just once” Right now = highest risk we’ve ever seen. This is real. This is here. And it is killing people who never saw it coming.

I heard about that being in Florida a few months ago. Now Tennessee. It scares me to think about it being more dangerous than Fentanyl as many of my clients already know someone who overdosed on Fentanyl. I try not to preach too much to clients but I talk a lot to them about dangers of cross contamination.
