This Labor Day, A Thank You to Our Founding Members šŸ™šŸŽø
Hey everyone šŸ‘‹ On this Labor Day, we want to pause and recognize the hard work, dedication, and perseverance it takes to build something meaningful. That applies not only to us as a small family-owned company, but to you, our community, for being here and helping us shape Omni Guitars from the ground up. šŸ’Ŗ First off, I just want to say thank you! Omni Guitars is still here, alive and well, and that’s because of you, our founding members. This past year has been an amazing journey full of growth, lessons, and a few setbacks along the way. We’ve learned so much about what it takes to run a community-driven brand like this, and while we’ve made mistakes, we’re committed to making things better moving forward. šŸ™ Here’s the truth: running a group and business like this costs real money. Shipping, product development, giveaways, keeping the lights on… it all adds up. If we could give away a free guitar or pedal every day, trust me, we would šŸŽøand have aspirations to make that happen. But the reality is if we did that, we’d go broke very quickly. That’s the tough balance we’ve been working to figure out. At the end of the day, we’re a small family-owned company doing this out of love for the guitar ā¤ļø, not money. We’ve done our best to give out free or heavily discounted gear, like the free strings we send out even though they cost us every single month, because we believe in making music more accessible. But we also need to find a way to sustain this so it lasts for the long haul. Right now, we’re in a regrouping phase. We’ve got some exciting projects in the works šŸš€, but they take time (and money šŸ˜…). One thing we’ve realized is that we need to do a better job of sharing our vision with you. Omni means ā€œallā€ or ā€œevery,ā€ and that’s the heart of this brand: to build something where everyone feels they belong and their voice matters. This community was never meant to just be about ā€œwhat’s in it for me?ā€ It’s about what we can do together to make a bigger impact. Our long-term vision is to launch a nonprofit to give guitars and lessons to military veterans, first responders, kids, and anyone battling mental health challenges. šŸ’Ŗ Music has the power to heal, break down walls, and carry people through dark times. That’s the bigger picture. šŸŒāœØ

Thank you for allowing me to be part of the group! Keep up the great work!
One of my songs - Don’t be a Dick
It’s always difficult for me to share my songs for a couple of reasons; 1) I feel vulnerable to harsh criticism and 2) I like to write, but don’t like the tone of my own voice. That said, this group has been encouraging to everyone. So here it is, please listen and let me know what you think. The song is called ā€˜Don’t be a dick.’ Thank you in advance for listening!

That is great! Keep it up
What to play??
When you go into a guitar shop/store, what is your ā€œgo toā€ riff or set of licks to play??? I lose all memory of what to play and how to play it when I am in a public place.

Usually just test sounds with open chords, barre chords and a little improvisation. I don’t really have any go to songs.
27 String guitar, played by the man who built it
here is my friend Keith Medley playing a 27 string guitar that he built. . Beautiful and mind blowing. He was an engineer at Gibson in Nashville.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lo5mvTfYSQY&list=RDsKbrycmEGjU&index=2

DADGAD PLAYING OVER THE TOP
MIGHT LOOK HARD, BUT ONCE YOU GET USED TO IT, IT OPENS DOORS TO INTERESTING VOICINGS AND WILL EXPAND YOU REACH. I ONLY USE THIS TECHNIQUE WHEN PLAYING IN DADGAD I CALL THIS SONG "SAFE DISTANCE" BECAUSE I FELL LIKE I AM IN A SAFE PLACE WHEN I PLAY IT
