Film Lengthssssss 🐍
Just trying to gauge how many minutes I should deliver for each wedding film? What does the average film look like for y’all for an elopement? Vs a whole wedding day? Or maybe even vs a wedding day of a couple who is a little camera-shy??? Would love y’all’s thoughts!

We never give a final minute count. Every couple gets a full cut of ceremony and speeches, so we have flexibility to make the full film what we think fits the couple’s day and story. Our average is probably 10 minutes, but we have a range between 8-14 minutes.
To gimbal or not to gimbal
Who is can't live without their gimbal? Who refuses anything but handheld? Tripods or Tri-don'ts? "tHeRe'S a PuRpOsE fOr EvErYtHiNg" yea, yea, yea, but what's your preferred way to shoot a wedding? My primary camera does not have IBIS, so I've only ever used it on a gimbal, but I'm falling more in love with the handheld look. Been thinking about making the switch and how I can practice a "steadier" hand.

I switched to only handheld/primarily handheld spring of this year after 5 years of gimbal work. I like my work better when I’m handheld, but there was definitely a learning curve, and I still make liberal use of my gimbal for certain couples/networking mixers/corporate work.

Gearing up for 2025 pt 2
Just finished a crazy wedding to kick off the second half of 2025 (if we’re not counting all the random weddings we had over the summer that we didn’t account for haha). Anyone got anything they’re excited for in the latter half of this year? Anything you’re working on to help you get prepped for 2026?

- My name is Trâm and this GIF sums me up - I’m based in Arizona. Born in Texas, grew up in Wisconsin. My only explanation for the moving is that my parents didn’t gaf after escaping Vietnam lmao - I heard this is now open to photogs? 👀 I’ve been shooting 10 years but jumped into weddings the last year or so. I started shooting as part of my high school’s journalism program, because we needed to submit a photo with our articles. I graduated to portraits and now I’m tryin to do the damn wedding thang. My background is in corporate marketing. I recently worked in the biotech space but was unfortunately laid off a few months ago as my company lost funding. Using this time to pump gas into my photography business. - I’m excited to have three solo weddings to close out the year and am hoping to book some more destination ones next year 🤞🏼 Bonus: I’m equally excited to meet people in the industry that are funny and bring good vibes Truthfully, I’ve also always wanted to crash a real wedding
