Meds and Nootropics
As someone who has not been diagnosed with ADHD and only recently realized that I have it, I'm curious about what experiences those of you who take ADHD meds or have been on them in the past have had. Did you like being on them? What are/were the pros and cons? I'm also curious if anyone has tried any of these nootropic supplements that claim to improve your attention, focus, energy, etc.? Ads for them show up constantly for me online, and every ad, of course, claims that their product is the answer to all your problems! I've tried a couple and didn't really notice a difference. Has anyone here had a positive experience with any of these?

@Linda Trup are you going private ?
6 weeks from now, your life could look like this.
This is the final call from Cohort 2. This is them on the day the six weeks ended. 42 days ago, they sat exactly where you're sitting right now. This is the doorway. The same one every person in that video walked through. The replay of day 6 will be available soon! @Heather Jensen went from giving her best energy to a draining day job to taking back her mornings for her novel and screenplay after 43 years of bedtime procrastination. @Lynn Berry went from "too old, too fat, too arthritic, and too afraid to change" to opening her own Reiki practice at 72, befriending the body she came in afraid @Tracy Weiss went from rock bottom and almost hopeless to "I'm a whole new person, and I like myself now." @Sammy Boyster went from crash-landing into the program with no housing and a job that didn't fit to a job that works for her, stable housing, and finances back on track. @Darci Wert went from thinking about getting rid of her things so it'd be easier to clean her space after she died to launching a coaching business. @Sara Ellisson went from suicidal thoughts and the belief she had to struggle to prove her existence to choosing to stay, minute by minute, for little Sara inside her. @Sean Frost went from a frantic ball of energy flying blind in survival mode to slower, steadier, and able to live with the difficult thing without quitting. @Randy Keats went from almost joining another "ADHD productivity program" to finally looking deeper inside. @Beth St Claire went from a "time-wasting, unmotivated, avoidant woman" to productive, creative, and inspired, with her own personalised manual to take her forward. @Deb Brouwer went from burnt out and suspecting she was broken to understanding it was a reset, not a fix, with her arms held by community.

I'm in
Fixing things that are broken... if only
Just completed all 5 sections of the Awakening Assessment. Turns out the moments I feel "almost normal" - hands building something tangible, fixing what's broken - aren't random escapes. They're pointing directly at who I actually am. A teacher threw a book at my head in the 70s for staring out the window. Nobody knew then. I'm finally finding out now.
Herbal teas?
Sorry a bit random but following on from no caffeine afternoon/evenings I thought I might try herbal tea before bed (I’m British so live for cups of tea!) πŸ€ͺ So was looking for recommendations of what to try please?

If You Are New Here…
I have been in the program since March; I did the five day workshop and then the 6 week program. If you are patient, watch the classes, do the worksheets, and don’t let the technical issues get you down, you WILL find help through this program. You will get insights into who you are and how your brain works that will blow your mind. I’ve spent decades (I’m 66) looking for the answers Jim’s program has helped me discover. I’ve worked with life coaches, counselors, therapists, neurologists, brain injury specialist, etc. NONE of them were able to help me in the ways this program has. I am different in several positive ways because I’m making the necessary changes and following these protocols.

Hi Tracy thank you for sharing this with us. I'm catching up on my classroom due to being busy with work and not getting home in time. I'm just finished day 3. And that really hit me. After the meditation I'm feeling great x

Love long walks in the countryside. Listening to Fleetwood Mac. Took up Crochet in lock down and still doing it.
