Morning all Managed to get in the gym for 5 am this morning to try and build the habbit. Didn't kill myself just followed the plan. Only day 1 but want to try and hold myself accountable and I thought posting on here once in a while might help with that Hope everyone's good

5 am gym sessions are great way to get pumped for the day! (Pun intended) I am one for the 5ers myself, tho I have to walk through my gym to go to work, so why not knock out reps beforehand?

I did a 12 week Easy Strength program in Spring where I deadlifted 5+ days a week at 285 (got a pair of 1960s hundos in the bar) for 10 reps total. I found it to have boosted my PR at the Pump Club clubhouse at the Arnold's despite not increasing the weight. So I will do DLs 3 to 4 days before work. I also PRed with 15 pushups as well while letting the pup out to do his business.

Scapular hangs/pull ups advice
Hi all. I started day 1 today. I didn't want to wait until next Monday so I'll do Tuesday to Saturday the first week. This is a. Park that's convenient for me to get to. I used this for scapular hangs. Just above the yellow bar there's a red bar. It isn't perfect, but this park is across the road from me and I can't think of anywhere else in the area. I don't even know if I was doing them correctly, and the yellow bar is very slightly in the way. Does this look suitable? The bar is higher than me, but not by much so had to lift my feet off the ground. The park also contains a Children's playground and I guess I could investigate if there's anything there I could use I stead. But I'd only be comfortable doing that if there were no children there at the time.

That red bar looks pretty solid and well bolted in place. You could bring a block or the like to use to step up on to grab the bar easier and slowly add weight to it to determine if it can hold you. Playgrounds are a great location to workout. I think of the system called MovNat where they use whatever is around them. I would bring my suspension rig or resistance bands with me to parks to workout during my previous job down time.
Some progress pics.
I tipped the scale at 270 this morning. Took some vid this morning to show a friend that I could button my vest with room to spare. The last pic was at my bachelor party in 2015 wearing the same vest.

@Michael Cartwright Agreed! Boredom and trigger eating did me in. Bored, eat. Watching a movie/series eat more than I should. So I stopped watching, uninstalled the apps and got back to meal prep.

@Tom Douglas I had a few fellow bus drivers try to get into working out with me. Told them from the start it is no skin of my back if they don't show, I will workout regardless but would be happy to help out, encourage, answer questions, etc. Having a solid Why helps greatly.
