✨ After the amazing Parent Power Hour session on Monday, it got me thinking… 🤔 For years, I’ve used the phrase “career journey” 🧭 because when I worked in the nonprofit space, we preferred it over “career path.” A career path sounds like a straight line from A ➡️ B… and we all know careers rarely work that way anymore. But during Parent Power Hour on Monday, I found myself using the phrase “career adventure.” 🗺️✨ And now I’m wondering if I like that even better. Words carry meaning—both positive and negative. 💭 Journey can feel long or even arduous 🥾⛰️. When I hear it, I picture a trek. On Monday, I joined the Parent Power Hour call and got a first look at Tonya’s new resource for parents. As a mom of a now-adult daughter, I wish something like this had existed when she was younger; it would have made those years so much easier to navigate. Tonya has created something thoughtful, practical, and supportive, and it’s beautifully structured, making it easy to engage with and actually use. This is the kind of resource that fills a real gap, and I highly recommend it to any parent walking this road.
