✏️ think something through 造句【think 系列】
I didn't think it through when I bought the EV. Didn't you think it through before moving to the suburbs?

We argue.

@Jane Lin When I saw the question "starting a letter with E in the kitchen", the only word I could say was egg. So, when you said there are many vocabularies in the kitchen you didn't know, I completely relate to you!!! You even expressed my thought🤣

Are you in your very Chinese time of your life? I'm going to share the news "Everyone is turning "Chinese" social media trend". My initial thought about this was the"ven" thing, which went viral couple months ago. But after watching the shorts, it's about teaching others how to be Chinese by adapting some habits of Asian people, such as drinking warm water and having congee in the morning, wearing slippers at home, and cooking boiled apple(?) and ginger(?) by themselves. I think this trend is interesting but also oversimplified and it could go wrong easily. For me, it's not 'classic Chinese/Asian' enough, because I think most people don't care about hot water until they get older, and I never heard anyone boiling apple & ginger to drink (I personally love brown sugar+ginger). At the same time I was surprised that they try to embrace some cultures of Chinese, because back in pandemic time, they were very harsh on Asian people. I think if they want to be a Chinese, they can watch "fresh off the boat" as a reference and have a second thought. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Q2h87OLpJ90 https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ZLpvBasNc2E

That's how this trend is 😮 It's too different from my expectations. My initial thoughts just like you, I thought everyone is turning Chinese would be more than minicing how they talk or pronounce. I haven't t watched the YouTube, but I wonder why they want to become Chinese. Is there any reason behind?
Curiosity is a love language
Personally, I couldn't agree more. 全篇文章 ⬇️ I was in a relationship for 6 years and he loved me in all the ways you could see. We went on dates, we bought each other gifts, we talked every single day. For a long time, I thought that was all you needed, but what was missing was the depth. He just wasn’t really curious about me. And it sounds silly but he as really into planes so I’d always ask him about them. Every time he picked up a new hobby, I’d ask him what drew him to it but I didn’t realize how much I needed that back until I made a bid for connection. A while ago, my dad and I went to Boston to see this artist I admire. When I came back, I was excited to tell mu boyfriend about it and he said, “oh cool, when you gonna be back?” That was it. It was always like that and I remember thinking “maybe this is something we can work on”. So I’d make more bids for connection, but he never changed. Then one day, around 6 months after we broke up, and I became friends with this girl and one day we were just hanging out. I casually mentioned that I liked this artist, and then she caught me off guard with “what is that you actually like about these paintings?” And I was surprised and said “Oh well it’s the strategy. Impressionism is harder than realism because realism is just copying.” She thought for a second and then she just said, “why do you think that?” And I just froze. It was such a simple question and we barely knew each other then. But I felt oddly seen and heard in that moment because it wasn’t just “oh she wanted to know more about art”. It was that this girl I barely knew was still curious to know more about who I really was and in that moment, I felt more sense than I felt in my past 6 years of relationship I was in. Because talking, dates, and gifts are all rituals of love but being curious was the actual intimacy and making someone feel seen requires a level of genuine interest in who they are. Because love is more than just rituals. It’s remembering that the person in front of you is deeper than the version you already know. And being curious enough to keep discovering because if I love you, I just want to know who you are.

I think curiosity is a way to get to know your partner more. When you are curious about your partner, it means that you are willing to step into your partner's world, trying to understand what he or she is thinking. Thus, I believe that this behavior can make both of you closer and make your partner feel being heard and your love.
