A moment of appreciation
What the temperature is finally dropping to a level that is fit for human life, I figured it was past time to show some appreciation for the unsung hero of my collection. Specifically my beater watch. You don’t want to wear a Rolex or a Cartier while doing the laundry, cleaning dishes, or anything involving cleaning products or general muck This guy, however, he takes it all like a champ

@Gunny Khan just goes to show that you do not need to spend a fortune to find a nice time piece😁

@Brett Sutton it is underappreciated. You get a great value for what you pay.
Time to Relax
Happy Labor Day, everyone. I hope you are all getting some much-needed rest and having some fun. As for me, I am kicking back, relaxing, and enjoying a nice quiet day. Part of it is wearing my personal favorite watch out of my collection.

@James Milson Truth be told I have a pretty nice collection at a variety of price points. Guess that's the advantage of being the guy who buys watches because he likes them
Watch of the Month — "The Batman!" — Casio Marlin/Duro MDV106
Happy September! Assisted by Superhero calls to action issued by my friends @Warren Money and @Chad Smith, my Casio Marlin/Duro MDV106, aka "The Batman!", edged out both my "Captain America" and Snoopy's "Just Beachy" watches by a count of 3-2-2 for "Watch of the Month" honors for the month of August. I should not have been surprised though, since this is one of my very favorite pieces, after all. If interested in the full specs, along with more information and images, I invite you to visit my Introductory Post for this piece. Best wishes for a Sensational September, everyone! 😀

A lovely dive watch, really works the Blue and Black together quite nicely. Forgive me if this is a silly question but what is the Batman connection?

@James Milson Fascinating. In any event I trust you know to run if you spot any clowns with green hair, wearing a purple suit, and spouting off sadistic and nihilistic jokes
New suit new watch
Gentleman I am getting a new three piece suit and was wondering what watch i should get to finish off the look. I am looking for a dress watch that looks good with both a black and brown leather strap and has a green or white dial. My budget would be around 1k to 2k.

Depends on your budget, if you are willing/able to spend $5k, I don't think you can go wrong with the Tank: https://www.cartier.com/en-us/watches/collections/tank/tank-must-de-cartier-watch-CRWSTA0141.html If you're not looking to spend that kind of money there are plenty of fantastic options out there with brands like Seiko, Tissot, Citizen, and so forth. Have fun in any event
Vintage Hamilton blade
Today’s Sunday best is my favorite vintage Hamilton tank. In 1962 blade with their 770 movement. I love the balance within the asymmetry, I think it’s a design masterpiece for the period It never gets old to me on the wrist.
