Choosing Focus Over Overload: πΌ DAILY JOURNAL β Day 70 | Friday | 30 January 2026
π Sleep Log: Slept at 3:45 AM Woke up at 6:45 AM π One Thing I Want to Remember Today: Today reminded me that trying to carry too many new skills at once can quietly drain energy and clarity. I realized that being busy is not the same as making progress. Choosing focus over overload is not giving up β it is choosing sustainability. Deciding to master one skill at a time is a form of self-respect and long-term discipline. I woke up for Fajr prayer, prayed, and then went back to sleep because I had slept very late the night before while working on a UI/UX assignment. The day started slow, but with awareness. π° Highlights OF My Day: - 6:45 AM: Fajr prayer, then rest due to lack of sleep - 12:30 PM: Woke up, freshened up - 1:00 PM: Returned from the market, had breakfast - 1:30β2:30 PM: Completed household chores - 2:45 PM: Zuhr prayer - 3:00β3:30 PM: Tasbeeh - 4:00 PM: Asr prayer and Quran recitation - 5:00 PM: Guests arrived, spent time with them - 5:45 PM: Maghrib prayer - 6:00β7:00 PM: Taught Sipara to kids - 7:00 PM: Rest - 8:00 PM: Dinner and Isha prayer - 9:30 PMβ10:00 AM: Community engagement - 10:00--11:00: Attended Raimaβs video editing session - 11:30--4:30 :After Session: Practiced video editing on Premiere Pro - 4:28 AM: Writing journal π Wins of the Day: - Prayed all five daily prayers π€ - Recited the Quran and did Tasbeeh - Took an important clarity-based decision about skills - Attended a video editing learning session - Stayed connected with the community despite low energy β οΈ Mistakes / Learnings: - Tried to manage UI/UX and Video Editing together, which created mental overload - Could not complete the assigned video editing task as planned - Realized that learning Premiere Pro requires patience and focused time π± Reflection : Today was mentally heavy but deeply clarifying. I accepted that learning takes time, and pressure only slows growth. Even though progress felt slow, the decision I made today will save energy, confidence, and direction in the long run. Small steps, taken consistently, will compound.
