Charcoal Experiment #018, Behind the Scenes and Photography
Just finished this morning. Took a few days and few tries. I didn't get to photo the first 'destructive' pass with the brush, since I did this at night. Everything I used is in the photo. Except for more brushes. I have a good flow with charcoal powder and brushes now. The photo I staged and shot. Lots of post in Photoshop unfortunately, I wasn't well prepared for the shoot but I got some good shots. What did you guys make over the weekend?

Very nice @Chris Legaspi I love charcoal pencil. That's what I use for most of my drawing practice. On Saturday I did oil painting but it didn't go well. 😭 Other than that I am going through your figure drawing courses here.

What are you working on?
What are you currently making, creating your life? Artistically, professionally creatively. I just saw Stefan's christmas cards. Those are amazing. I don't know if you guys have seen these, but this is what I've been making lately. I'm going in a wild direction with my work and have been flowing creatively non-stop. What have you made or going to make today/this week?

Hi everyone, I am from Tokyo Japan and a freelance copywriter and translator. I've been drawing and painting for years and my style is minimalistic portrait painting, which is the area I have spent the most time on over the years. But I want to improve in different styles, especially figure drawing so that's why I am here. Until now, I've been focused on rendering skills but lately I am getting inspiration from cinematography, philosophy, psychology, stuff like that and I am looking for ways to weave them into my art making. I don't have any artist friends so it's great to join thins community and I would love to get to know other artists!
