Client Ghosting Me
I recently had a potential client reach out through my websiteโ€™s contact form. She mentioned that she had three businesses needing assistance and said she could afford my pay structure. I replied with an introductory email thanking her for reaching out, explaining some of my services, and asking for a few dates and times that would work for a call. That was last Sunday. Over the weekend, we had a snowstorm here in Tennessee, so on Monday I sent a follow-up email checking in on her and her family, offering help if needed. Still no reply. On Wednesday, I sent a quick text to confirm sheโ€™d received my emails and included my booking link so she could easily schedule a time that worked best. Then on Thursday, I called and left her a voicemail. On Friday, I tried again, but her voicemail box was full. Has anyone else had a client reach out through their website, show strong initial interest, and then completely stop responding to email, calls, or texts? According to ChatGPT, I should just leave it. Donโ€™t worry about it until Thursday of this week. Send her a final email to let her know when and if she is still interested, she can reach out that I will be here for her and provide my contact information.

TAXES: Are Your Skool Memberships a Write Off?
This is an important one, ladies ๐Ÿ‘€ Save this. We have a few tax pros in our circles. So I asked one of them that is familiar with Skool-based communities the question below, because it comes up more often than you think when you start taking your business seriously and are planning for the future. My question was: โ€œAre my Skool membership fees a write-off? The fees I pay to be part of other communities?โ€ His reply is attached ๐Ÿ‘‡ Why this matters: When youโ€™re investing in education, accountability, and environments that directly support your income, those decisions and the costs associated are part of running your business. So YES - your membership fee in here is a TAX WRITE OFF for your business. Itโ€™s deductible because most online communities qualify as: - Education - Professional development - Coaching - Business support - Memberships and subscriptions As long as: - Youโ€™re using it to grow or support your income - Itโ€™s related to what you do (services, freelancing, consulting, etc.) - Youโ€™re not mixing it with personal hobby use Itโ€™s typically treated as a business expense, not a partial one. This is one of those โ€œboring but powerfulโ€ things builders think about early. ๐Ÿ“Œ Read his response ๐Ÿ“Œ Save it for later If youโ€™re contemplating upgrading memberships or purchasing education that help you move faster, stay consistent, and implement strategiesโ€ฆ this is something to think about and plan for.

Are you afraid?
A lot of VAs are asking a very important question these days: What does the future of the Virtual Assistant look like with the rise of AI? Before I share my thoughts, I want to hear from all of ya. Will AI make our jobs easier, or completely change it? What new, high-value services can VAs offer that AI can't touch? What specific AI tools or systems (like LLMs, automation platforms, etc.) do you think every VA must learn right now to stay ahead? Drop your predictions, fears, and advice in the comments! Let's future-proof our businesses together!

Tool: ChatGPT / Perplexity The magic: It puts my thoughts together. When I write emails I find myself rambling on and repeating myself. I have trained my ChatGPT for my tone, style of writing and personality. I love it.
