HomeLab Setup
What is the best setup for homeLab ? Servers or mini pcs ? How many servers and mini pcs are required and cost estimation ?

What do you mean by server? I mean, a server is nothing less than a machine, could be a laptop, or a mini-pc. If you are starting, the best way is to use some old laptop and install a light distribution there to act as a server, and from there start growing. Also raspberry pi could be handy, but these days I recommend using a mini-pc. The cost depend on how much do you want to spend, you could have an old laptop for like 300$ and that's all.

@Umair Rasheed Nope sorry, I'm not a devops, but probably @Mischa van den Burg or other devops here can. I put that only from my perspective and what I'm doing.
Will Linux get hype this year?
I wanted to start discussion - as title says - Will Linux get hype this year (or in nearest future)? Share your own thoughts! As some of you may already know one of biggest Youtubers - Pewdiepie showed in public that he's already using penguin! This vid has 4,5milion views yet, just in 4days. He showed that he's able to do most of his daily stuff on Linux without paying any $$ to big corporations and has choice of doing it in may different ways. Even as a guy with non technical background he managed to install Arch and fully customised it for his own needs. I hope you'll find it interesting šŸ˜„ Leaving video link below for those who haven't seen it yet :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVI_smLgTY0&t=1s

Using the penguin with hyprland, which is awesome. But I don't think people is willing to install Linux, because still there things that only works on Windows, and there is no replacement at all yet.
Small wins
this post and the subsequent post have been inspired by @Philip Segynola . I think we don't celebrate our progress enough. In the spirit of learning in public I am moved to celebrate a few of my wins too 1. joined kubecraft 2. installed Arch Linux for the first time (after many tries) 3. completed the obsidian and goal setting course (I need to file this one for some internship points) 4. installed qemu/kvm for more labing (great to take a break from VB) 5. getting a handle on git. 6. uploaded my first of dotfiles to github 7. created by lab repo on git hub. (Its empty but more is yet to come) Seems like the list is long and i could keep going for a while :)

That's pretty cool. I usually recommend TryHackMe, but that requires an account, and that one is on the browser without nothing. Thanks for sharing.
