Hi All, I am transitioning from backend to platform / devops roles. I have some experience with AWS and have recently taken aws practitioner exam. I had a doubt, can i be honest to my recruiters about this as i am coming from backend or i show few years of experience in platform roles in my profile. Hi guys, I'm building my homelab with: - terraform to create the vms in my proxmox 9 - Ansible to install k8s in every single VM for masters and workes. What do you think about it?is there a best way to build a cluster k8s?

Hi sorry, I am such a noob but could someone help me decide which Kubernetes is best if I have 4 mini pcs or sff pcs (think hp prodesk or dell optiplex type devices). I first saw minikube but then realized it had no multi-device support so I kept exploring and saw kubeadm but that scared me away so next I looked at k3s but I had my doubts. I am currently looking at Talos Linux as it seems easy enough but still production-grade. I know Docker and Linux fairly well. If anyone had a list of distros that would also be helpful. If you have seen my previous comments you may know I have a almost fully built truenas server so I could use that for storage but maybe larger ssds in the pcs and longhorn would be better. Does anyone have any advice? I would greatly appreciate any and all help.

Ok. I just finished my first DevOps bootcamp. Lots of fun! I see that bigger picture…my journey to cloud engineering and architecture. After completing labs it feels really promising to continue. Definitely hit some walls and test my skills to find solutions and understand the tools and processes. Continuing with more deeper challenges. Projects!! Running my proxmox labs and picking up some projects to work on. For cloud i need a playground to practice, the doing helps to retain the concepts. If someone has some suggestions for projects, sources, i will definitely appreciate some project ideas. I notice i definitely need to continue working on my Linux and python shops. Appreciate any insight!! Cheers amigos!

Has anyone here implemented local storage with Longhorn via Talos? It looks like previous declaration methods were deprecated and now you have to start with a custom Talos ISO to implement iSCi tools and kernel module first. Any info would be appreciated as I’m still finding my feet!
