@Boris Levenzon Mischa mentioned within his materials that there's difference within US and EU job market. For US job market devops is let's say endgame position, top highest lvl of career where you have other background eg. linux admin / linux engineer / cloud admin/ cloud engineer or architect meanwhile in EU you'll be able to find job posting like junior devops. But there's one thing we have to remember even <junior devops> itself isn't really "junior" position cause of amount of knowledge you need to have and it requires you to have some background gained before - wether it's by paid job, internship, commiting to some project or building homelab - it can be leveraged as lever to your dream position ๐Ÿ˜„

@Hok Kyo I agree it can be blocking you on the road but we need to remember that even moving slowly is much better than staying in same place for long time. As Rocky once said - quoting words from movie: "The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place, and I don't care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

Will Linux get hype this year?
I wanted to start discussion - as title says - Will Linux get hype this year (or in nearest future)? Share your own thoughts! As some of you may already know one of biggest Youtubers - Pewdiepie showed in public that he's already using penguin! This vid has 4,5milion views yet, just in 4days. He showed that he's able to do most of his daily stuff on Linux without paying any $$ to big corporations and has choice of doing it in may different ways. Even as a guy with non technical background he managed to install Arch and fully customised it for his own needs. I hope you'll find it interesting ๐Ÿ˜„ Leaving video link below for those who haven't seen it yet :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVI_smLgTY0&t=1s

@Sarhan Patel Yes i was sending cv and I'm still applying. Result? Many applications without response. I was invited for some interview and within fewer got till last stage and later on got answear kinda like it would be pre-formatted mail "Thank you for your time, we appreciate your interest, we decided to move on with other candidate" Sometimes it's frustrating but i'm still trying and banging head against the wall.
Building my own kubernetes cluster helped me get my new job
I saw your tweet about how making your own rasperry pi kubernetes cluster would help get you a job, by standing out and showing genuine interest in learning, which I did. Well on Thursday this week I had an interview, and then a job offer, where my interviewer said he read my github and saw my raspberry pi kubernetes cluster code and we talked about it! The job was a super competative role, basically working on an AI chatbot for hedge funds, and I think projects like this on my github made the difference. They mentioned that they liked my contributions to open source projects.
