๐Ÿ† WINS OF THE WEEK
Big goals are just a collection of small wins stacked on top of each other. We talk a lot about the "long game" here at Atlas High Performance. Whether you are training for a World Championship or just trying to feel stronger in your 30s, progress isn't always linear - but it is happening every week. This thread is our dedicated space to celebrate those wins. I want this to be a place where we shout out the results from the weekend, the PBs in the gym, or the small victories that nobody else sees. ๐Ÿ‘‡ NOW IT'S YOUR TURN What was your "Win" this week? - Did you hit a PB? - Did your team win a match? - Did you just show up when you didn't feel like it? Drop it in the comments below so we can celebrate it๐Ÿ‘‡

โ˜˜๏ธ Kicking us off: The Irish Dancing Squad I want to start by highlighting the incredible work from our Irish Dancers who competed in the Munsters last weekend. It was great to finally get out last week and see it in person. We often talk about "Transfer of Training" - building stiffness, power, and aerobic capacity in the gym so you can express it on the stage. This weekend, we saw exactly what that looks like in action. - Huge shoutout to the first-timers: Stepping onto that stage for the first time at the Munsters is a massive win in itself. - Massive congratulations to the qualifiers: We officially have athletes booking their tickets to the World Championships in Chicago 2026! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธโœˆ๏ธ The work you girls put in weekly in the gym and the hours in the studio is starting to massively pay off ๐Ÿฆพ
๐Ÿ”ฎ THE 2026 VISION: Shaping the Future of Atlas High Performance (+ We need your input)
Hey guys, Iโ€™ve just uploaded a detailed breakdown (video below๐Ÿ‘†) of where Atlas High Performance is heading in 2026. Iโ€™ve put everything on paper - from schedule changes to new coaching faces - and now I want your feedback. The goal is to keep improving the service, systemise your results, and make this the best training environment possible. ๐Ÿ‘‡ HERE ARE THE HIGHLIGHTS: 1. ๐ŸŽฎ Gamifying the Community (New Rewards) We are turning this group into an interactive hub, not just a place to lurk. - Leaderboards: We now have 7-day and 30-day leaderboards. - Prizes: Top contributors on the 30-day board will earn rewards (gifts/discounts). - Level Up: Engaging (liking/commenting) earns you points to "Level Up" and unlock free courses (like Nutrition Basics & Training Foundations). - Note: Premium content will be locked for active members only. 2. ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Schedule & Christmas Hours - Christmas: We usually close for 2 weeks. This year, we are looking at an "unofficial" close where we will open for specific short windows to keep you moving. - 2026 Gym Hours: Moving toward structured training blocks (Morning, Lunch, Evening) to improve coaching quality, programming and cleanliness. 3. ๐Ÿš€ Service Upgrades (2026) - Youth Athletes: Moving to a subscription model (1-2 PT sessions + Unlimited access to Group Development sessions). - Adults: Splitting "General Fitness" vs. "High Performance" tracks so everyone gets exactly what they need. - Booking System: Moving toward booking times rather than specific coaches. This ensures you never miss a session if a coach is away, and every coach knows your program inside out. - Testing: Introducing regular "Testing Days" (using VBT sensors) to track progress safely without needing 1-Rep Maxes every time. 4. ๐ŸŽ Nutrition & Sport Science - We are partnering with a Registered Associate Nutritionist for monthly workshops and specific referral support. - New Team Members: Shout out to Eoghan, Eve (Sports Science/Clare Ladies), and Gianni (Endurance/Rowing Specialist) joining the roster.

@Simon Goble understandable regarding the AD group. It's more from a marketing/promotion POV that we'd need to systemise it a bit more. If/when coaches come on board and eventually move up/move on, it gets hard for the development of the athletes within the groups to become predictable and consistent. We do try to include some form of everything within a session, we may just bias more towards one thing on a specific nigh. This may also mean adjusting times during the week as some sessions are not well attended and we may remove them. I don't think we'll get it 100% right straight away but we're moving in the right direction with it hopefully ..
โ˜• COMMUNITY CALL: Shaping Atlas 2026 (Live Dec 8th @ 10am)
Hey guys, We are settling into our new digital HQ, and I want to jump on live this Monday to clarify exactly how this space works and - more importantly - show you where we are going next year (at least hoping to). I want to be transparent about our plans for 2026 and give you the chance to shape them. ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ When: Monday, Dec 8th @ 10:00 AM โฑ๏ธ Duration: 30 Minutes ๐Ÿ‘‡ What we will cover: - ๐ŸŽฎ The Rules of the Game: Iโ€™ll explain the "Gamification" of this group - how to earn points, "Level Up," and unlock the free courses and rewards we have in the pipeline. - ๐Ÿ”ฎ The 2026 Vision: A first look at our proposed schedule, new coaching hours, and how 1-1 training will evolve next year. - ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Your Feedback: This is the most important part. I want to show you the plan before it's locked in. I want your suggestions on how we can create the best possible training environment for you. This isn't a lecture; itโ€™s a conversation. I want this to be a space that serves you, so come ready with questions or ideas. This one will be posted in the group after so will also give you the chance to comment/watch after if you are stuck in work. Link to join is at the top of the home feed! See you Monday morning.

Hypothetical scenario: The gym doors are locked. You cannot leave until you complete ONE of the following conditioning tests at max effort. Which one are you choosing? (Be honestโ€”no easy way out here!) ๐Ÿคข ๐Ÿ‘‡ VOTE BELOW

I'm taking the running ๐Ÿ˜‚ the only reason the assault bike still occupies space in the gym is because the Erg has been out of action!
โ˜• Coffee Chat Recap // Updates
Tech Note: Apologies for the tech issues. It turns out you can't record directly on the phone app, and the link wasn't easily accessible for everyone. I'll ensure the next one is set up correctly for easier access. The Core Updates: 1. The "Atlas High Performance" Evolution The gym has become heavily reliant on me doing 40+ hours of 1-to-1 coaching. To grow and serve you better, we are shifting from a "Personal Training Studio" model to a Community Performance Hub. This shift may take several weeks/months, but it will start before Christmas. * Goal: Connect our 200-300 members (Teams, Online, PT) into one cohesive community rather than isolated sessions. 2. Coaching Structure Changes: To free up my time for better programming and organisation, we are expanding the coaching team: * Eoghan: Taking lead on evening Athletic Development and morning groups. * Eve: Newly joined, focusing on the Clare Ladies Footballers and Tuesday evenings. * Looking Ahead: We plan to add 2-3 more coaches in the coming weeks. * For You: This means access to more coaching hours and flexibility in your week, rather than being stuck to just one slot. 3. Personal News ๐Ÿ‘ถ As many of you know, I am expecting my first child in February. * I will be scaling down my floor hours significantly around that time (likely taking the first 2 weeks of Feb off). * The new coaching structure ensures your training continues seamlessly while I step into a "Head of Performance" role to manage the bigger picture. 4. Skool Community & Courses We are launching two free courses (Nutrition & Training Basics) to help you get better results outside the gym. These will be out by the weekend. * New Tiers: We will be introducing a "Group Coaching" tier and a "VIP" tier for sports performance clients to add more value remotely. The Bottom Line: Done is better than perfect. We are building a system that relies less on me and more on a high-performance team, ensuring you get better results, more support, and a stronger community.
