2025 April 20 Beginners HTCLF - What motivates people to buy?
For those new to developing an online business, I came across an interview that you may find useful. YouTube Robert Cialdini - Interview on The Knowledge Project THE INFLUENCE EXPERT - what motivates people to buy Top factors that boost sales (6 Principles) SCARCITY - Missing Out Consumers do not like to feel left out. In your ads highlight the fact that they are MISSING OUT if they do not act now. SCARCITY - of Time (offer only good til midnight) SCARCITY based on the uniqueness of your product SOCIAL PROOF - testimonials build confidence in buying your product Show customers how your business has grown (12 months ago we had 25% growth 6 months 30% etc.) PRINCIPLES 1. RECIPROCITY - offer something FREE. 2. LIKING - customers enjoy buying from those they KNOW, LIKE and TRUST 3. AUTHORITY - consumers like to buy from those who show competence 4. SOCIAL PROOF - when their friends buy, they buy 5. SCARCITY (see above examples) 6. CONSISTENCY - with each small purchasing step - customers will repeat the same buying pattern to your more expensive item. WHY? Because consumers like to be viewed by the public as being consistent in their behavior.
