Bride cancel makeup services
Hi Makeup Artists! , Iād love your advice on a situation Iām currently dealing with. A bride booked me over a year ago for her wedding on October 18th, which is one of the highest-demand weekends of the year. Because of this booking, Iāve already declined over 25 other wedding inquiries for that same date. We just did her trial only 19 days before the wedding, and I really tried my best to achieve the look she requested. From my perspective, she looked absolutely beautifulāit was just a matter of small refinements for the wedding day. I explained to her that trials are exactly for that reason: to test the look and then fine-tune it so everything is perfect on the big day. Afterward, her wedding planner reached out asking me to be flexible with my cancellation policy. For context, my contract clearly states that if the bride cancels, the full wedding balance is still due, since Iām reserving that date exclusively for them. Out of good faith, I told them I could lower the cancellation fee to $950 instead of the full amount, even though technically I donāt have to. On top of that, back in July she had already canceled the hairstylist from my team (after I had secured her for a year), and I didnāt charge a cancellation fee then either. So hereās my question to you all: š What would you have done in my shoes? Would you have enforced the full cancellation fee as per the contract, or offered some flexibility like I did? ( I offer to her other trial but she doesnāt want to)
