Hair Extensions
Hello! I've been a MUA for 15 years and a hair artist for 7 years, previously I mostly worked in vintage hair styling so renting out hair extensions for Brides is a new concept to me and would like to know a couple of things before I invest! - What hair colours are best to get when starting out with extensions? - How do you go about pricing these? I understand theres a cost and a bond situation :-) - Anything else I need to know before I invest?

Hair extension rental prices
Hi all, I have been slowly hacking at making my admin side of booking to feel more polished and on brand since starting with Marissa’s BBA in 2023 🤍 I have chatGPT as my bestie and she suggested for me to charge for the labor/styling + trial hair extensions try on + rental. Before: I was charging $25 for the “try before you rent” option at my brides trial, and $100 for the rental for their wedding. Not factoring in the cost of buying poly mailers, hair extension storage bags, and shipping! 😅🤦‍♀️ Now after explaining to chatGPT I charge $150/hr and extensions can be up to 30-45min extra time here’s what we came up with: $75 try on $150 rental $125 styling day of the wedding Does this sound reasonable? I feel like $350 is a lot 🫣

@Marissa Brennan i dont even do extension rentals and i am still putting that prompt into chat gpt just because i wanna know! lol i have been considering adding rentals but its such a big backend cost that i am still figuring out how to do it!
Help-my booking percentage can be sooo much more!!
My current process is 1-Get brides to fill out inquiry form 2-Send out pricing info 3-Follow up(if they have not replied back) My question to you would be…Do you feel I need to add more engagement steps to help with follow through? Im receiving hundreds of inquiries but only booking about 10/15% and would like to get my team more bookings in the upcoming year….Also how far is too far in advance to open the calendar for bookings (1-2 yrs).

@Brandy Lysaght i have a very similar pricing structure currently! I got a little lost while reading your travel prices. Maybe instead of sending a generalized response you make the travel section custom for their location? That way they don't have to do any math.So it would look more like: "your location is xxx miles from our starting point of xxx. this will make travel for your celebration $xxx." I hope thats helpful!
📣 The Method: 31 brides in 30 days
“‘Are you available June 24th, XXXX?’The date was TWO YEARS away. I thought it was a typo. Triple checked. Nope—this bride really wanted to book me 2 years in advance. And me? I had NO clue how to respond. So I did what any resourceful bridalpreneur would do… made up a fake waitlist. 😂 I literally dragged her email into a Gmail folder called WAITLIST and called it a day. But then more inquiries came in. 70 brides later, my ‘fake waitlist’ was real. Opening day finally came…☕️ Laptop open, coffee in hand, I hit send on 70 emails. Within 24 hours: 15 brides booked. Within 30 days: 31 brides booked. 44% of my year secured in the middle of winter. That moment changed everything for me. It wasn’t luck—it was strategy. And I’ve never stressed slow season again. Now, for the first time ever, I’m pulling back the curtain and sharing my exact Waitlist Method—publicly, for FREE. 📆 WHEN: Monday, Oct 27 @ 9AM PST | 12PM EST📍 WHERE: Live on Zoom (find it in your calendar tab) 😎 Replay: you’ll get access inside the classroom! 💰 What you’ll learn inside: - The Waitlist Method Framework → how I turned one inquiry into a 70+ person waitlist - The Bride Nurture Sequence → warming brides so they stop ghosting & start booking - The Dying to Book Effect → scarcity + urgency that makes brides chase YOU - The Fast Deposit Funnel → the system that secured 15 deposits in 24 hours 👉🏼Save your free spot here https://marissagracehq.com/waitlistmethod ✨ PS: I have a favor, when you sign up, screenshot it & share on your IG stories tagging me @marissagraceartistry 🫶🏼 Let’s help more bridal pros finally END the slow season scaries together. #endslowsznscaries

Pricing hourly for weddings?
Hey everyone! Im so excited to be a part of this community! I have been doing a lot of pondering over my pricing structure. 2026 sales goal / 2026 wedding goal = $$$per wedding i am realizing that i need to book weddings at a minimum of $1200 at 50 weddings in 2026 to hit my goal. For reference, in 2025 I have 23 weddings (and counting) and in 2024 I had 15 (I was working VERY part time). Anyway, I have been mulling over a new pricing structure that is as follows: Basic Package 1: 5 hours of service This includes Bride and up to 6 additional styles. Basic Package 2: 7 hours of service This includes Bride and up to 8 additional styles. Upgraded package 1: This includes Bride and up to 6 additional styles. Upgraded package 2: This includes Bride and up to 8 additional styles. ALL packages include the following: Bridal Trial, day of services, Wedding day recovery gift for the bride, 75 miles of travel (one way) and access to my Bespoke Beauty Bridal Portal. (This portal is a new addition!) Upgraded Packages include all of the above plus: 30 minute in person pre trial consultation to color match for custom extensions, a set of clip in extensions, an upgrades wedding day recovery gift, longer bridal styling time (specifically for hollywood waves and styles that take extra attention) Common questions: Q: What if you finish in 4 hours instead of 5 like the package i paid for says? A: I stay for an additional for touch ups on anyone who needs them while getting ready! Q: Can more hours be added? A: yes, additional personal stylist hours can be added at $75 per hour. Q: How much is it per bridesmaid? A: Thats up to you! I bundle it all together and how you have the bridesmaids pay is your call. What if i want more styles included in my package? 8 isnt enough. A: if there are More than 8 styles i will need extra hands for your wedding party. this will include a $200 second stylist fee, travel at $1 per mile for the second stylist. and a rate of $100 per style that she is assigned to.

@Marissa Brennan thanks! Im not too worried about finishing early because the plan is, if i do, they still get me until the time is up for touch ups! its something i already offer but this way its just built in! i do see the issue with it being the case if i take longer and feeling like i wasn't compensated enough for the day. ill have to do some thinking to see how i can overcome that obstacle!
