Bridal Team Memeber Conflict of Interest
Hello everyone. I'm excited to be in the group as there is so much valuable information. I have question seeking your thoughts, feedback, and opinion from your experience. I have a team member who currently assists as a hairstylist under my bridal team, but she’s now starting to promote her own bridal business and participate in bridal shows. Is it better to part ways in a professional and supportive manner to avoid conflicts of interest within my team? My thought is to acknowledge her growth by saying something like, ‘I see you’re looking to expand your bridal business, which could potentially overlap with mine. For that reason, I think it’s best to step away for now, but when I launch my bridal coaching and mentoring program, you’d be an excellent candidate.’ What are your thoughts on handling this situation?

I see this as a huge compliment, she’s clearly noticed how well your business is doing and wants to follow a similar path. Personally, I don’t view others as competition, I believe my brides choose me for a reason and there’s strength in that mindset. I’d suggest approaching her from a supportive angle. You could acknowledge how exciting it is to see her growing her business, share that you love having her as part of your team, and reinforce that she’s a real asset. At the same time, be clear that if scheduling conflicts start to become an issue, you would need a more dedicated team member, which may mean parting ways. You can frame parting ways as not necessarily negative, let her know you’d still want to support her and that she would be an excellent fit for your coaching program if she decides to focus more on her own business. This way, you’re showing her that you value her commitment to your team now, while also leaving the door open for a positive future working relationship :-)
Hair Extensions
Hello! I've been a MUA for 15 years and a hair artist for 7 years, previously I mostly worked in vintage hair styling so renting out hair extensions for Brides is a new concept to me and would like to know a couple of things before I invest! - What hair colours are best to get when starting out with extensions? - How do you go about pricing these? I understand theres a cost and a bond situation :-) - Anything else I need to know before I invest?
Booking spreadsheet
Hello! New gal here, I'm just working through the free offerings and the link to the spreadsheet in the booking call doesn't seem to download or save when you click, just loops back to the segment and the video. Maybe my computer isn't playing ball haha!
