Suki - Food games - 1st attempts
These are our first attempts at food games (mouse, catching and food tosses) and then we tried to incorporate some moves outside on the drive. Suki really enjoys the chasing and catching (food is easier, with a toy, if its run and catch / grab, she will run off with it and do her own victory lap!) I need to go back to the lectures but our attempt on the drive (she's on a lead for safety), I found interesting that when I went to hide the food for eye contact, she gave me such a cute middle so that we could start again and she did look like she was having fun but it was very muggy yesterday too so session was kept short. Daft question please - with the kong hand, do we release our fingers slowly for the dog to access once they are driving in and is this better to do with something like a cheese stick or stick with kibble and just slowly unwind the fingers? Thank you! @Alex Lato (Sorry - another quick question! During the early stages, should we be finishing the game at the final stage i.e. teasing, hide the treat and done or should we be giving the treat to finish in the early stages then fading this out? Apologies, daft question but just wanted to double check thank you)

Suki - our first attempts with social play
This is our attempt at social play. Your comment this morning re the confusion over food ni the training space made complete sense. (We did try this before the call this morning - doh - will try a different room tonight). We tend to get stuck in the licky face place (last night's attempt, we tried to play, I laid on the floor, Suki started licking, I tried to roll away to break - realised I had my hair under her foot but she was so happy giving me a licking shower, we just stayed there a bit longer). She gets really confused if I start jumping / running about and will just treat it as a distraction exercise (oops!). We finished the session when she said I'm done (and then she ran off to find her own prize, a stinky sock!). Should I have finished the session earlier before I lost her and should I have encouraged the use of the toy in this play at this stage? Thank you @Alex Lato https://youtu.be/vkzh38EHD7k

@Alex Lato Thank you :-)
Social play 2
Having a toy worked really well! The environment wasn’t ideal, it would be one of the most distracting one for him particularly as we spotted a wallaby 10 min earlier.

He looked to do amazing especially if a wallaby was spotted! (So much fun) Well done team!
Food play
@Alex Lato This seems to be a fun game to her! Vaya is my cue for a treat being thrown.

I love how she is so polite and how much fun she is having and how you're managing to incorporate some stretches in there! (Suki loves to join in exercise class with me so this has given me some ideas how to keep her occupied at the same time 😀). So lovely!
Social play in the garden
We tried a social play in the garden on a mat. Suki was much more energetic and joyful. Questions though please - we had zoomies; is this ok during social play? (I think looking at the video, there is a point where Suki's position moves, and that last little touch around her bum at that stage results in zoomies!). Also wanted to check if its ok to use a mat or whether this likely to become an inadvertant cue of social play (as its not one I can take with us out and about). Also, sorry - noting sessions should be kept short - how many play sessions should you be aiming for? (Is it better to do little and often?) Thank you @Alex Lato

@Marta Di Bari thank you 😊. Only thing is avoiding being knocked over by zooming pup 😂
