Suki - our first attempts with social play
This is our attempt at social play. Your comment this morning re the confusion over food ni the training space made complete sense. (We did try this before the call this morning - doh - will try a different room tonight). We tend to get stuck in the licky face place (last night's attempt, we tried to play, I laid on the floor, Suki started licking, I tried to roll away to break - realised I had my hair under her foot but she was so happy giving me a licking shower, we just stayed there a bit longer). She gets really confused if I start jumping / running about and will just treat it as a distraction exercise (oops!). We finished the session when she said I'm done (and then she ran off to find her own prize, a stinky sock!). Should I have finished the session earlier before I lost her and should I have encouraged the use of the toy in this play at this stage? Thank you
