I almost didn’t say this out loud.
I was sitting in the shop getting my daughter’s hair done. Laptop open. Finishing touches on our sabbatical plan. Thirty days. Again. Nigeria. Ghana. The Philippines. Bali. Dubai. Bangkok. Thailand. Family fun. Rest. God. Dreaming. This is our third one. And I’m excited. But here’s what I told my husband recently. The weeks leading up to a sabbatical? I work like a mad woman. Not because the business needs it. Not because clients demand it. But because somewhere deep down… I don’t always feel like I deserve this much time off. Corporate taught me that rest has to be earned. That joy must be justified. That abundance should be balanced with exhaustion. So even as an entrepreneur with freedom, I found myself recreating the same trap. Overworking. Overproving. Overexplaining. Just in case God changed His mind about blessing me. And that’s when it hit me. Rest isn’t a reward. It’s a responsibility. If I say I believe in freedom, but only feel safe resting after punishment-level productivity… then I’m still operating from corporate conditioning. My daughter doesn’t need a mom who “earned” joy. She needs a mom who models it. My husband doesn’t need a wife who burns herself out first. He needs a partner who trusts what we’ve built. And my clients don’t need another exhausted expert. They need proof that alignment actually works. So this sabbatical isn’t just about travel. It’s about unlearning the lie that rest requires permission. Clarity doesn’t come from grind. It comes from trust. Justin-Welsh-style punchline: You don’t earn rest. You practice it. P.S. If you want help landing rich clients using your authentic voice, go to landbigclients.com. It’s just $97 until further notice.

That corporate/employee conditioning is deep. There’s levels to it to free oneself.

@Brithney Williams I’ve started doing hard things first. It does make a difference.
What being alone taught me…. ⬇️
I pulled into the gym parking lot Saturday at 7 AM. Not a single car in sight. For a second, I thought it was closed. But it wasn’t — I was really the only one there. Fresh off a Cabo vacation, the last thing I wanted to do was lift weights. But I couldn’t afford not to life considering I chilled on vacation. So, I went to the gym Saturday after a long night at the Fantasia concert. I was yawning between reps, half-awake, wondering why I even showed up. But I had to trick my mind into getting through the workout. Saying things like, “Your 90-year-old self is rooting for you!” Then I realized… Because I showed up, I was getting personal training instead of group training. All eyes were on me. Every rep, every wobble — seen. And that’s when it hit me: This is what growth looks like. Uncomfortable. Quiet. Sometimes lonely. At first, I only went to the gym when my husband or my friend went too. It felt easier that way — more fun, less pressure. But when life shifted and they couldn’t go with me anymore, I had a choice: Stop going… or start going alone. So I kept showing up. Alone. And that consistency changed everything — not just my health, but my family’s too. They saw me lose over 35 lbs since May. They saw me commit, and now they’re doing it too. Sometimes the thing that scares you most — being alone, being seen, being stretched — is actually the gift that shapes you most. That’s exactly how it was with Speak Your Way To Cash®. At first, I hosted an event for 10 people. Then 30. Then 75. Then 100. Then 150. Then 350. Every stage came with new levels of discomfort — and new levels of growth. Now, as we retire Speak Your Way To Cash® Live, we’re hosting one last virtual encore. It’s your chance to build what’s next — even if you feel like the only one doing it. → Show up anyway. → Keep your form right when no one’s watching. → Remember, the ones who keep showing up alone are the ones who end up leading the crowd. If you missed SYWTC LIVE! You have one final chance to catch it!

The reps count
On two days notice I booked myself a trip out of the country…
Sometimes, you’ve got to recognize when it’s time for a break. Over the past three weeks, I’ve sold out an event in London, added 65 people to the Ghana trip, and welcomed 40 new clients into my program. I also hosted a retreat with 40 private clients, made two full-time job offers, and secured three celebrity speakers for Speak Your Way To Cash® Live. Productive? Yes. But I was tired. And I need my creativity to finish this year strong—so I booked myself a trip. Now? My sleep is better. My vision is clearer. I’m getting things done. Sometimes the win is in the rest. LOOK AT MY SLEEP NUMBERS!! I’m so, so, so glad I listened to myself and invested in a personal reset. Building a business means building yourself—and that includes fighting for your rest the same way you fight for your growth. Anyway, y’all! Summit is this week, and I’m coming into it well-rested and ready to crush it! 💪💪💪

Love this! Just as much we pour into our business, it’s important to pour into ourselves.
Serious question…
There’s 235 days left in the year. What’s one thing you’re doing differently to end this year strong?
