I am loving this knitalong! My tension is getting better as I go along so I hope blocking will sort out the wrinkles. I am liking the colour combination more now, but I am unsure of the collar but I can always change that when I have seen it with the finished jumper

My pattern doesn't line up after splitting for the sleeve
Can anyone help me with the sleeve... I am knitting size 2 . I put the markers in ready to separate the sleeves and knitted the split round (for me on row 10) but when I knit row 11 when knitting over the 16 cast on stitches the pattern is out. The arm hole cast on should be stitches 20--11(which is the 16 stitches), but the pattern says I start with stitch 6 of the repeat., not stitch 12. somehow I am 6 stitches out?!! I have spent 5 hours going over this and can't work out what I have done wrong and/or how to fix it? It's my first attempt at a top down sweater and now I feel like giving up 😭 sorry, this sounds so complicated but hopefully it makes sense to someone and you can help me out

Thanks. I did watch the video before I started, but then forgot that part 🙄 It makes complete sense now! It's just a pity I didn't ask earlier as I would have saved myself hours of trouble over nothing!

Hinweis 2 fertig! Mit einigen Höhen und Tiefen. Ich war mir wegen der pinken Farbe sehr unsicher, wollte es nicht zu bunt haben. Aber ich wollte auch unbedingt nur Garnreste verwenden. Jetzt nach Hinweis 2 gefällt es mir sehr gut! Zanete ich muss dir ein großes Lob aussprechen. Du entwirfst unfassbar schöne Desings und schaffst es auch noch sie sehr gut verständlich zu vermitteln. Vielen Dank dafür!

Thoughts from a newbie
Hi everyone! I am so excited for this KAL. I am expecting virtually everything in the pattern (except for the actual knitting!) to be new to me and am looking forward to the challenge. I fell in love with the ghali sweater and purchased the pattern, but plan on using this project to teach me the skills I need to do it justice. Unfortunately, I dont have enough stash yarn to use so will be hitting my local wool factory tomorrow to get prepared. Acrylic yarn is a lot more budget friendly for me, will this be okay? I plan on using hayfield bonus DK as the gauge on the label is almost the same as Zanete recommends
