The day of Jummu'ah 💎
Jumu’ah isn’t just another day, it’s an opportunity to pause, realign and return to Allah سبحانه وتعالى. For the brothers, Salat al-Jumu’ah is fard and should be prioritised accordingly. For the sisters, even though it’s not obligatory to attend the masjid, don’t miss out on the immense reward of this day. From the Sunnah is ghusl, perfume(men), using miswak, being attentive in khutbah, increasing in salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ, reciting Surah al Kahf and it is also recommended to give sadaqah. Be intentional with your dua and take advantage of sa'at al istijabah(final hour of asr before magrib). Schedule it into your day, even if it’s just 10–15 minutes before magrib. When making dua, approach it properly: 1. Come in a presentable state before Allah, in wudhu. If entering the masjid, pray 2 rakah. 2. Begin with yaqeen. Call upon Allah with certainty that He hears you and will respond. 3. Praise Allah and call upon Him by His names and attributes in line with what you are asking.(Ar-Razzāq, Ar-Raheem, Al-Fattah, Al-Wahhab, Al-Muhaymin etc 4. Humble yourself and seek forgiveness before asking for your needs. 5. Send salawat upon Rasulallah ﷺ. 6. Ask for what you wish with yaqeen. Do not be shy, you are asking the King of Kings. SubhanAllah, the entire dominion belongs to Him. Then close with salawat and praise of Allah. This is structure is what is often referred to as the dua “sandwich”. And remember, from the means of acceptance is striving to keep our earnings, food and actions halal, and to have yaqeen and avoid being hasty. إن شاء الله the following reminder will bring ease to those who become hasty or disheartened. The Prophet, ﷺ, said, “There is no Muslim who calls upon Allah, within which is no sin or cutting family ties, but that Allah will give him one of three answers: He will quickly fulfill his supplication, He will store it for him in the Hereafter, or He will divert an evil from him similar to it.” They said, “In that case, we will ask for more.” The Prophet ﷺsaid, “Allah has even more.”
Food?
I got an aha moment that Focus issue might be caused by the diet... I mean it is obvious isn't it, but is it really??? Subhanallah how could something that is so glaringly obvious that you never think of.... Are there other things that are obvious that we are missing ?

Food is fuel, and it’s something we often overlook. We think the solution to a lack of focus is going to be some big, revolutionary discovery when in reality it's often taking care of the basics. It'susually the small, consistent actions like eating a balanced diet, choosing good quality food and staying hydrated that compounds over time and leads to better performance long term إن شاء الله.
"What if.."
That quote I sharpied on my coffee mug during my time as a teacher… and SubhanAllah, whenever someone returns to Allah, I’m reminded of that mug and how far Allah has brought me since then. الحمد لله Within my extended family network, we have had three people return to Allah in the space of just three days SubhanAllah. A reminder of how quickly life can change, and how precious our time in the dunya truly is. But with that comes a beautiful reality… as long as we are here, we still have the opportunity to act, to return, to improve, and to take the steps we’ve been delaying. Whether it’s improving our ibadah, bettering our physical health, or a project we’ve been holding off on... the door is still open, the opportunity is still there. So grasp it with both hands. A reminder to myself first and foremost to use the time you have in this dunya in a way that counts, so that when we return to Allah, there are no “what ifs”. May Allah grant all those who have returned to Him mercy, take us when He is most pleased with us, and allow us to make the most of the time we’ve been given in this dunya. Allahumma ameen

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته Umm Zaynab, Birmingham, UK, 37 My current focus is maintaining consistency and balance across my responsibilities as a Muslimah, whilst continuing to refine my systems as I navigate different phases of life.
