Post 12: My exact systems
This is the exact system I’ve been using in my home for the past 3 years. And I’m telling you right now…it works. Not sometimes. Not when I feel like it. When it’s applied consistently it works. This is the system behind: ✔ why I don’t have to keep repeating myself ✔ why I don’t have to raise my voice ✔ why my children know I mean what I say ✔ why my follow-through is strong This system has also worked for 50+ parents I’ve shared it with. This system will not work if: ❌ you’re inconsistent ❌ you don’t follow through ❌ you give up when it gets hard Because the system isn’t magic.… YOUR consistency is what makes it work. So if you’re ready… CHANGE how your home operates. https://www.thejourneytofindgod.com/build-structure-now

This looks fab, I’m just trying to think of what consequences and rewards I can do for a 5 year old and a 2 year old. I mean they like stickers but that seems not like a proper reward

With the help of copilot I’ve managed to create versions that will hopefully work for my children
Tantrums
Hi everyone, I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old. My 5 yo didn’t go through the 2’s with tantrums, never really bit or hit. My 2 year old is definitely going through the 2’s, wants to be the boss of everyone, hitting, shouting, rolling in the floor. She’s generally well behaved though. My 5 yo has now decided to join his sister in this behaviour mainly when he’s frustrated so if he’s trying to create something that doesn’t go to plan or doesn’t get his own way he’s now decided to do the same. He gets taken to his room and has to sit down until he’s calmed down. When I ask him if his behaviour was appropriate he will say no and apologise so he knows he shouldn’t be doing it. I read him books about controlling anger and talk to him about it at various points when he’s not frustrated but he is still defaulting to this behaviour at home. I’m not really sure what else to do.

Thank you so much lots to think about. 2 year old tantrum is a lot of noise from her she’s the opposite personality to my son so he’s naturally quite quiet she’s loud and think she’s about 12. She knows exactly what she wants and has the vocabulary of a 3-4 year old so she talks a lot. She gets put on the step to calm down when she has a tantrum. He keeps doing it because he’s hoping he will get his own way. If his tantrum is a lot or he throws things he gets toys or things removed and when he shows good behaviour he gets them back. But if his tantrum is because he’s trying to do something but hasn’t quite got it right so he’s frustrated we we return to the activity and try again. Sometimes he start whinging when he’s not getting something right and we try and intervene at that point to help him out but sometimes he wants his idea to work but it’s not going to when he’s building something so that can escalate. I think he’s definitely seeking attention they both like a lot of attention usually at the same time.
Post 9: ADHD Tomorrow we’re going deeper.
I’m going to be teaching you the exact system I use in my home. This is not theory. This is not something I just came up with. This system has worked for 50+ parents I’ve introduced it to. And if you are consistent and actually follow through… it WILL work. This is the system behind: ✔ why I don’t have to keep telling my kids what to do ✔ why I don’t have to raise my voice ✔ why my follow-through is strong ✔ why my children know I mean what I say And let me be clear… This is not being used on “easy” kids. This system is being used in a home with: 👉 ADHD 👉 high-functioning autism 👉 ODD All the things people say make it “harder.” So don’t just come to watch. Come ready to implement. Here’s what I need you to do TODAY: Grab a notebook, paper, your phone whatever you’re going to use. And write ✔ a list of your child’s behaviors that are NOT acceptable (attitude, not listening, hitting, ignoring, etc.) ✔ a simple list of what your child should be doing DAILY (wake up, brush teeth, get dressed, eat, clean up, etc.) Don’t overthink it. Just get it written down. Because when I drop this tomorrow… you should be able to start applying it immediately in your home. We’re not just learning this week… we’re building systems that actually work. Be ready. I may send a zoom link or just post a video.. which would be better for you?
