Monday we will start the "Peer Support Week"
Are You Advancing in Your Nursing Career, or Just Getting Older in the Same Role? Many internationally educated nurses share the same experience: “I’m busy, I’m exhausted… but I’m not actually growing in my nursing career.” This month’s edition of the International Nursing Career newsletter tackles a critical question for nurses working abroad: 👉 Recognizing Career Stagnation: Are You Really Growing? Inside, you’ll discover: - Subtle signs of career stagnation for international nurses (that have nothing to do with laziness) - How to identify whether it’s the healthcare system, your mindset, or a combination holding you back - A gentle reflection exercise to help you plan your next career move instead of staying on autopilot I’m also opening up about a personal chapter in my own journey, when I realized I was being praised for my work, but not actually progressing. If you’ve ever felt guilty for wanting more than just job stability as a nurse abroad, this edition is for you. 💙 Read the full newsletter "Feeling stuck as an international nurse? Let's talk about career stagnation!" and join the conversation here in our community, “Nurses Move Career Coaching.” Connect with other international nurses, share your story, and get support for your next step. Your nursing career was never meant to stay on pause, let’s move forward together. So read the newsletter and get ready for the conversation we will start on Monday the 16th of February with some prompts. You are very welcome to write your thoughs in a post or comment below others posts. Please get creative! If any questions please leave them in the comment box below this post!

These are challenging times for nurses. Many NHS Trusts have recruitment freezes. I've been feeling stuck for a long time now and have been considering my steps carefully. Connecting with you nurses on the same journey is always helpful. I look forward to hearing more @Dina Paoloni

Yes, I agree with you. Its not impossible. We can work through it and there's always something new that will come up. What matters is what we do to plan for that job we want.

Sounds amazing 👏
Happy Monday!
I know today is an important day for some of you (no spoiler don't worry 😉) I personally come back to work after Annual leave... never had Annual leave on Christmas time before! It feels so strange 😅 but, I feel also excited to start a new year in this my new role! I have been working here only for 6 months (I've started in June) but I love it! A small team but the impact of patients is huge. The part that I love the most is educating patients and answer their questions. The most difficult part? It is educating patients and answer their questions! Also research is a big one! I am learning so much from the latest research paper publications. So today for me is a big start: a new year in this new role that after 6 months (learning and adjusting) I feel more confident in. So the goal for this year is becoming and fully embracing my role as Clinical Nurse Specialist. What does this year represents to you?

Hi @Dina Paoloni I do miss that patient interaction sometimes. For me, this is a year of growth in all aspects of my life. I'm focusing a lot on what lifts me up. Staying grounded and calm as I navigate through this year. ☺️
How AI Could Make Your Nursing Workday Easier—Let’s Brainstorm Together!”
Hi everyone! 👋 I’m a Customer Service Specialist and Phlebotomist who absolutely loves what I do. Lately, I’ve been diving into the world of AI and exploring how it can enhance the way we work in healthcare, everything from improving patient communication to streamlining workflows. One thing I’ve noticed in my career is that small changes and tools can make a huge difference. For example, just thinking about how AI could help with scheduling, reminders, or lab workflows is exciting,;it could save time, reduce stress, and improve patient experience. I’m curious_ if you could use AI to make one part of your workday easier, what would it be? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Let’s brainstorm together and see how we can bring more innovation to our roles without losing the human touch that makes healthcare so special. 💬 Comment “spark” if you’ve ever thought about using AI in your role and want to explore practical ideas!

@Victoria Erinle Great post. I use AI on a daily basis for various things. My day-to-day role as nurse educator can be very admin heavy and so I am interested in finding ways to reduce the admin so I can focus more on what I love, which is teaching.
A big milestone achieved!
Hello amazing community!!!! Today it’s finally time to share with you all an amazing news! I achieved a huge milestone in my nursing career. If four years ago someone had told me that I would have become a UK RN, working in my favorite field, I wouldn’t have believed a word. And… I would have been wrong! Completely! After a long and tough journey, I’m about to start working as a nurse in Critical Care in the UK. This means so much to me. Why am I sharing this with you? Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to brag. For me, this community is a place where every member can share their career milestones and encourage each other. Sharing issues is important in order to find solutions, and sharing achievements is important too, as it motivates and inspires nurses worldwide. Today I want to celebrate this moment with you and to say thank you to all the people who have encouraged me and helped me not to give up and believe in myself. Particularly, A huge thank you to @Dina Paoloni, for being beside me all along my journey with her teachings and her mentorship. I wouldn’t be where I am without your constant support. A big thank you to @Samantha Gounden, for helping me improve my communication skills as an ESL (English as a second Language). Thank you to myself and my courage for stepping forward, which has demonstrated that the direction was right. A new year has begun. A new adventure and a new career are going to start. And the best is yet to come 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

@Flavia Cotza You earned the right to brag! This journey isn't easy. We don't just get handed the life we want, we have to put in the work to reap the rewards and you absolutely did that!...and...you had the right attitude which was to stay positive and keep moving forward, even through the challenges. Congratulations on your new role here in the UK. I'm proud of you and you should be proud of your achievements :)
