Retirement Plan O (Ocean House)
Hubby made a video of our dream on his channel. Jack is the star of the show: https://youtu.be/HVkYNbriLm8?si=MghF7cri5-JkgwGr Since we couldn't make it happen, we moved on to Plan P (Pool) which we accomplished. However, we're currently in Plan Q, Questioning all of our retirement plans & preparations. Running out of letters yet the early retirement or not countdown began in 2026 🥳

When my grandson was little he asked me, "Grammy, do you remember when dinosaurs roamed the Earth?" Not sure where this line of questioning was going or what to say, I said, "Yes. Yes I do." He proceeded to tell me his extensive knowledge of dinosaurs 🦕 He thought I had survived the Jurassic Park experience 🤣
No Show New Year's Sunrise
Happy New Year everyone 🥳 Remember when we used to say we're going to party like it's 1999? What would that look like today? Partying like it's 1999?

I hope didn't travel too far in your attempt to capture the sunrise.

A statistically well timed photo for the history books! Teaching fun facts is in your nature. When it rains, it blooms 🌵
🎉 Why I Gave Up New Year’s Eve Parties for Sunrises
Over a decade ago, I stopped celebrating New Year’s Eve the usual way. (That's a story I will tell soon on the channel via a video.) No more midnight countdowns. No more noise, glitter, or groggy January 1sts. Instead, I started something that still gives me life and meaning each year: 🌅 I get up and watch the first sunrise of the year. Every January 1st, I pick a new location, rise early, and watch the sun come up. Sometimes I go alone. Sometimes others join. But it’s always a special moment. It’s how I choose to mark new beginnings — not with champagne and noise, but with quiet, hope, and light. It wasn’t just a random choice. There was a specific moment that made me shift from midnight to morning. From man’s clock to what I call God’s clock. For me, the new year truly begins when the first light shines the first morning. This year, I want to invite you to join me. ☀️ On January 1st, find a place to watch the sunrise. 📸 Take a photo or short video. 📩 Send it to me — let’s start the year connected in meaning, not just tradition. Want to join me?

Which inspired me to screenshot each photo so you can all enjoy without the download nonsense.

@Fil Ladden I could see my breath when I walked outside; it was under 40°F. You were probably still sleeping during my technology drama. I figured you would probably travel to your sunrise destination 🌅
Is this fun?
Fun for me is finding out new stuff and research lol... so today I was looking at penguins, and that led me to the Arctic and Antarctica. You don't get enguins in the Arctic, like you don't getolar bears in Antarctica. Penguins cannot survive in The Arctic as is it a frozen ocean surrounded by landmass , where as Antarctica is a frozen continent surrounded by water. The only Penguin found North of the Equator is the Galapagos penguin, one of the rarest in the world. Penguins are fun eh? Look at them!
