Time to Fess Up
All right! It's time for confessions in this group. 🍬In my recent video I mentioned taking care of my health and briefly mentioned avoiding sugar. I have a confession to make: I have fallen off the wagon after a couple of years of not eating candy, and I've been eating it almost daily, including yesterday --- the day after making the video about healthier living! 🍭There's a guy at work that always puts out a bunch of candy on the table and, interestingly, I always pick up the historic candy, I'll call it. Bit-O-honeys, Tootsie Rolls, the ones I like to call old candy. Young people don't like it, which gives me more. 🍫 Anyway if you are eating candy, what candy are you eating? And include a gif if you can 👊🏻 Declaration: I am not eating candy today! I'm not eating...

Google's Nano Banana 🍌 = 💪🏻
Google Gemini / Nano Banana image generator does a surprisingly good job with infographic level thinking YET it still needs a polished, high quality ask & context narrative. This image came from a conversation I was having with ChatGPT about how economic ideas often feel very clean in the abstract and much messier when they show up as a real exchange between two people. Especially when that exchange involves an invoice tied to actual labor expertise, experience, sweat equity, and risk. What stood out to me was not the argument itself but how clearly the model translated a nuanced process into a visual story. It did not just decorate the idea, it preserved the tension between theory and lived reciprocity while making it immediately understandable. That is the interesting part. The image holds its own meaning & the caption is simply an invitation to notice how well these models are starting to reason about and express complex human dynamics when given space to do so.

Playing around with a new thumbnail design. This is the newest one I just threw together using the Gemini AI. I originally just put the 👍 graphic because I had read it was the number one emoji used by Boomers. With regard to this one I just took something old-school, like a pencil, and played off the words. I'm not really sold on the image but I do like the play on words, old-skool, because if Boomers are anything they're OLD SKOOL! UPDATE: wow so @Steve Eason suggested I run it by ChatGPT. He really has gone crazy about using AI but I did and the cassette was its suggestion among others. For the first one I had used Gemini Nano Banana and I just uploaded a picture of that in ChatGPT. The feedback was crazy good and in great detail. Long story short it took a few minutes, is all, and I really love the cassette symbol for the What's Up Boomer school group.
