Over a decade ago, I stopped celebrating New Year’s Eve the usual way. (That's a story I will tell soon on the channel via a video.)
No more midnight countdowns. No more noise, glitter, or groggy January 1sts.
Instead, I started something that still gives me life and meaning each year:
🌅 I get up and watch the first sunrise of the year.
Every January 1st, I pick a new location, rise early, and watch the sun come up. Sometimes I go alone. Sometimes others join. But it’s always a special moment.
It’s how I choose to mark new beginnings — not with champagne and noise, but with quiet, hope, and light.
It wasn’t just a random choice. There was a specific moment that made me shift from midnight to morning. From man’s clock to what I call God’s clock.
For me, the new year truly begins when the first light shines the first morning.
This year, I want to invite you to join me.
☀️ On January 1st, find a place to watch the sunrise.
📸 Take a photo or short video.
📩 Send it to me — let’s start the year connected in meaning, not just tradition.
