134 sales in 1.5 months!
Quick little success story + a couple shoutouts 🙌 I opened my Etsy shop two months ago, still unsure of what exactly I wanted to sell, and uploaded my first listing half a month later after seeing one of Tom’s TikTok videos, and it pushed me to actually give it a go instead of just thinking about it and leaving my shop empty. Fast forward a bit and we’ve now had around 134 sales since opening, which might be small to some people but it’s a great start for me and proof that the process works. Wanted to give a quick shoutout to the PrintShrimp team. Their prices have stayed really competitive while still keeping the quality high, and the customer service has been great. One of my customers had an issue with an order after the delivery banged up the poster a little bit, and they got back to me the next day, ready to replace it, no questions asked, which makes a huge difference when you’re running a store. And of course, the biggest shoutout is to Tom for the TikTok content that got me started in the first place. Keep pumping the content bro, there are many people like me that just needed an inspiration on what to sell and how to get started, and your videos provided that. Still early days, but excited to keep creating 🚀

First Sale
Hey everyone, thanks for all the great discussion on here. I'm about 2 weeks in on our journey since we got the store set up. 50 listings live so far and trying to be consistent with adding more. Focus niche is on kitchen / dining and food-based art. We got our first real (non-test) sale today which is great! I had some questions would love input on: 1. I've struggled finding a good video mockup. We use photopea for the static ones we bought and happy with those. I bought a video mockup for use on Canva and tried a few free ones and they just look rubbish - like the flat poster is pasted on top of the moving video. So we've skipped video mockups. Is there a way to get good ones without using Photoshop? Photopea doesn't support the files. 2. How do you find good topics or ideas? So far I just do things I would like, or get inspiration from what shows as being popular on certain terms. It feels like with keyword tools they still rely on me having the idea of what to search for or check. Is there a way to see what popular terms are within a niche I am missing? Would really love any feedback on the store so far too! https://www.etsy.com/shop/YummyPrintsYorkshire

Sales data.
32 Sales in my first month on Etsy… good, average or poor? Seems to be a bit of a slow past few days for me personally anyone else?

@Ryan Hughes I didn’t use any adds until this last week, and if anything it’s worse. Whether it’s adjusting I’m not sure. I’ve only done £1 a day advertising and had two sales come from it.

@Ryan Hughes a mixture really…
Etsy listings
When we’re talking about uploading hundreds of listings to Etsy - am I right in thinking it’s 19/20p per listing? Before selling anything? Just totting up the costs on this?! I must be wrong?

Correct and then Etsy hold your money for 90 days. I’ve £320 Sat there currently.
Listing Process
Just curious to know roughly how long it takes y’all to get a listing live from start to finish? (Image generation to live on Etsy. It’s currently taking me roughly 30ish minutes for 1 listing (Midjourney -> Upscayl -> Canva -> Mockuuups -> CapCut -> Etsy) Keen to hear some of your best practices you’ve implemented over time to help streamline your listing process? Cheers! 😁

What do you use CapCut for? Generating a video for the listing?
