Habits
Y’all have any advices on creating habits ? I wanted this week to be all about daily meditation, but I just felt like I don’t get to it everyday. I purchased a book called atomic habits, that is considered very good and helped a lot of people, but I also feel like I don’t get to read this book (as you see the situation is hard ). If y’all have any advices feel free to share 🙏.

@Alex Boke ohh I’ll try that app, it looks really cool. Although I know that there are some really good meditations in Spotify as well.
Digital Garden post - First thing, Overcoming
I was busy all week doing one thing: stressing out of nothing. I have a job that I hate and I just failed my first driving test. And my boss doesn’t give me my salary in time so I’m having a hard time quitting before I get my money. So I’m planning to quit my job next week when school starts (because I have no choice in that) and to pass my other driving test next month. But just thinking of these two things made me so nervous and anxious. I barely sleep well and I didn’t made any progress in my life, out of the misleading thought that I need to pass those two obstacles: quitting my job and passing the driving test, in order to move on to fulfilment and progress. But I know that the shit in our life doesn’t vanish, it always changes. But the only thing that I can control is the mental space I leave for this shit. But I feel like I can’t. If you can relate to that and to share your experience, feel free to share.
Hello
Hey guys how are you doing? I’m Roey, I’m a high school student, a guitarist and for now, a waiter. and whenever I’m dreaming of a future that in it I’m calm, productive and living life like I want to, I always return to my same old habits: doomscrolling, living in a mess and achieving nothing. I’m here to meet other people with the same struggles, and to learn how to overcome my difficulties and to live life like I want to. I hope that we can win those struggles together as a team 🫡

This week, I began living with less technology. One way I did this, was to make analog stuff fun. Since I am quite an 'artsy' person, I did this by binding my own notebooks by hand instead of buying them from the store. This also means I can control how many pages, what type of paper and the cover much more easily. Today, I woke up very late since I am on holiday, but, I still read a book after waking up for 1h with no music. Then, I talked to my friends irl. It is midday and I'm about to go visit my sister. Tips: If you find reading books boring, get physical copies and annotate them. If you are just starting, using a little bit of social media may help, so it not a sudden cutoff, just be sure to set timers. Hank Green's 'Focus Friend' app has really helped me stay off my phone.

That’s great bro. This week I was on a vacation with my pals so I didn’t really made any progress with my phone addiction, but following your tips I’ll start next week 💪💪💪
