Thanks Vic for talking me into it. Forgive the noise at the beginning while I was setting up the drone.

I recorded the strings sound on my keyboard with C - G chord and added a flute melody and a flute playing the chord tones and also added some Cajon. It was fun to experiment, but also a bit challenging with mixing, etc. I liked the overall effect. Next time I would like to add more dynamics and dig deeper into the melody line. There were a few places out of tune as well.

I went to a different park today. There were guys working and a guy who was getting ready to kayak. He said he enjoyed my flute playing. Which was encouraging. You can hear a lawn mower, wind and birds as background noise:) I was trying to make a short melody and add to it. I liked the melody. What I would have done different would be more space and dynamics. I felt a bit more nervous this time, I think it was because it was a new spot. Exposure therapy in action!!

I was connecting with this flutist on Facebook tonight and he sent me this album he played on. Pretty groovy!! Enjoy some jazzy flute sounds.

I am testing trying to mix a few tracks on Audacity. I liked it overall and I like the spaces. I could definitely improv my skills on the drum, I wish I would have played a stronger last note. Thanks Vic for letting me borrow the Shruti Box! I think I would also, turn the track with the cajon down next time.
