Don't touch my flute without asking!!!!!!!!!! T-shirt
I don't condone slapping anybody. But this bunny makes a good point!!! Always ask first before touching somebody's flute!!!! Would you wear this shirt??? I fixed it up so the flute looks like a real flute.

I posted this in the Flute Forum and people were asking where to buy it! So I added it to the Flutarians Tshirt shop: https://www.redbubble.com/shop/ap/179438244?asc=u
There are 2 types of improvising mistakes:
1) What the audience hears as mistakes 2) What you hear as mistakes

When you listen to your recordings frequently, you will notice that sometimes what you thought was a "mistake" when you played it sounds just fine - even good - in the recording! Listening to our recordings is a good way to have an idea of what our audience hears. If the audience doesn't hear it as a mistake, then don't worry about it!

@Kristy Mitchell There are definitely moments when I think, "Oops!" when I'm playing. Less so than before, but definitely not never. There are definitely moments that I thought were a mistake when I did them, but when I listen to the recording they sound good. I call these "happy accidents." There are definitely moments when I watch someone playing and I know they're thinking "oops!" I've gotten quite good at it actually 🤪That's part of why we're doing the funny flute face contest - so we're aware of not giving away our thoughts of "oops" so much on our face that it distracts from the music. I think the main difference between me now and me when I was a baby improviser is that I've gotten really good at "surfing" through the moments of uncertainty and recovering gracefully from what I thought might have been mistakes.
