Is Google Ads Ripping Us Off?
OK I’ve listened to this podcast twice now (lol), and it’s absolutely mind-blowing! We’ve all likely noticed—or at least all suspected—that when we increase our Google ad spend, our CPC "magically" 🧙‍♂️ goes up too, (basically the law of diminishing returns - and then it caps). John Moran, a Google Ads expert I’ve followed for a while, tested this on 10 accounts and shared his findings (like in the video he actually screen-shared it to prove it). He removed conversion tracking and showed his screen in the video to reveal what happened. It confirms what many of us have suspected: Google seems to be, in a sense, price gouging and how to avoid it (but man this is ballsy 🫣😬🤯, to say the least!!) What are y'alls thoughts on this?!? and @Austin LeClear - I would love you to cover this on "Ask Me Anything" 🙏 - I guess my "question" for you to answer is what is your take on this? Would you (or have you) tried it too....

@KLee Terrazas Extending the time is exactly what I did for a legal firm, and explained as to why the change. We haven't looked back since.
Facing issue in our google shopping campaign - not getting conversions
Hi can anyone one help me with google shopping campaign? How can I get conversions? as perviously we are getting it like 2 months back but from last month conversions are very less only 1 or 2

You can definitely run both together but that may not be the issue. Are you selling similar products as others? If so, are they price competitive? What's the experience on the website? Site speed, UX, etc. You can run great ads but fall down if your website does not provide the support they need.

@Yesha Hindocha Is this a branded range of clothing?
Google Ads For Furniture Business
Hi Austin we have a 2 years old growing furniture business and most of our sales are from Meta Ads. We want to grow over google we have a good GMB profile as well. We tried PMax previously to drive traffic over our landing page but it was not converting due to poor landing page. But now it's fixed and before sending traffic again I need your guidance. You have tons of experience with home depot so I want you to guide us in your AMA for December. We want people to convert in store, call us or fill in a lead form and our sales team will reach out to them. 1 - What kind of campaign objectives we should focus on? 2 - Will Lead Generation Work here or Smart Campaign? 3 - Our budget is 10k/Month. 4 - We have products from $199 to $5k what should be our testing budget? ( I know you always recommend to start with $50/day minimum). Thanks and love your work. Big Fan

@Edward Wilson Having worked with a furniture business before, segmentation will be your best friend for both Search & Shopping. Depending on the number of products you have, I would suggest having different landing pages for each category/product. It would also be helpful if your CRM is connected to your account so you can better measure the success of your campaigns.
Any help with Google Tag/Enhanced Conversions on Shopify?
The source of my conversion tracking on Google Ads has been GA4. In order to get better tracking data, and to implement enhanced conversion tracking, I set up a Google tag on our Shopify site, run through Tag Manager. It's inactive and troubleshooting shows it's not firing. Am I better off removing everything and starting over from scratch, as opposed to troubleshooting the tag that's not firing? If so, any leads on a tutorial to do it right? I've spent a lot of hours on this, Google offers no support, and the frustration level is high. Any help would be celebrated with a parade, unicorns and rainbows.

How to Stop Spam Leads from Performance Max Campaigns (Lead Gen)
Hey PPC Gang, I just released a video on YT on how to stop spam from PMax campaigns when using them for lead gen purposes (form fills). PMax is known for generating lots of spam leads however we solved it with a simple landing page trick. Hope you get some value from this! Also, there will be no AMA for December since I'll be busy with the holidays and I've been heads down working on my new course that will be launching next month. Stay tuned.

A great implementation for anyone doing lead gen and holding off on using Performance Max because of so much potential for spam. Thanks again @Austin LeClear
