Hi me again haha
What’s your thoughts on BRAND MEETS CREATORS? I made a profile and used their suggested rates because they said I would have better luck landing gigs but honestly kind of not feeling the vibe on that platform 5 videos for 25? I might delete the profile but before I do would love to hear your feedback!

I WOULD LOVE TRAINING ON HOW YOU GO ABOUT THIS : "I think the agency focuses so hard on TikTok shop education and it seems like a lot of the deals on there (at least for me) are direct to the brand owner and not an agency, so there was a little bit of having to educate owners on UGC standard" I have a couple pitches I use, so its hard to share. My best responses come from : I’m Riki, a UGC creator and pet owner who’s partnered with brands like Badlands Ranch. I specialize in helping pet brands create content that not only looks authentic but also converts. Pet parents connect most with content that feels like real life, those everyday moments that make them think, “that’s my dog!” Or even more so "Awe I want my dog to feel that good". That’s the type of content that builds trust and leads to sales. For brand, I’d love to create: - Natural, lifestyle-driven videos and photos showcasing your premium, comfort-forward products while highlighting that each purchase supports rescue dogs and shelters - Short, relatable clips that tap into adoption and rescue moments - think a newly adopted dog discovering a brand product for the first time - Versatile assets you can repurpose across ads, social, and email that reinforce brands vet-recommended, luxury feel and mission Happy to share a few tailored ideas for brand upcoming campaigns if you’d like , like a TikTok series following a rescue dog’s first week with brand or quick comfort-focused product demos for ads. Crash Course on Pricing UGC
I know there’s a lot of beginning UGC creators in here. I will do a training or course module on pricing but I want to check up on y’all… Do you all know how to break down what a brand wants / needs to determine pricing? Determine if it’s THIS OR THAT <———> Organic <OR> Paid Ads They Edit <OR> You Edit They Script <OR> You Script Raw Footage <OR> Ready to Use Ad These are the basic breakdowns to determine how much work is involved. On the left side of the above list, it is usually less work. This kind of work can average around $150-$300. $200-$300 is popular for a brand that inbounds you via email to ask for a Paid Ad & Raw Footage (Perpetuity Rights included). On InSense for example rates are normally $100-$200 per concept and they kind of call the shots on what they get most times. You can obviously make WAY more than this but starting out this is standard. Pricing is very nuanced. Just make it worth your time and take what comes at you especially if you’re new. RELATIONSHIPS above all. Show brands you go above and beyond, go the extra mile, never get defensive when asked for reshoots, if you give extra tell them you did and compliment their brand when delivering the final content. Make a joke, get personal, throw in some LOLs. Have fun with it. Building relationships will open soooo many doors. Who here is completely in the dark about determining pricing?

@Jaclyn Forero any advice on how to respond to : "We’d like to explore perpetual usage rights for UGC content, along with one month of whitelisting on your socials! " Like what rate I should be using

No This is them setting up the rate and job still.
Low ball Offers.
Hi, I’ve seen so many low ball inbounds like $40-$60 and with a clause that it’s not a guaranteed pay out it’s based on the quality of the work given. How can I respond to such emails letting them know my minimum is $150 and that’s not including perpetual rights. Believe it or not the $40-$60 is including perpetual rights. I’ve made a fiverr account and see other UGC creators charging low like this, which is scary because this is my Full time income. Help how can I confidently set my prices and be paid perpetual rights when other creators are charging that low on fiverr?

Hi Breanna, I think this is all a great question. I have learned on Fiverr it seems growing your rate is based on review building there. IMO outside of Fiverr, I am getting the same challenge with Low Balls. I'm trying a "It's q4 and as much as I'd love to work together, Its a busy time for everyone right now. If you are looking to build your business and grow your customer base with quality content my rate is $150 for a XX video. What I would love to do is give you these first 90 days of rights within that rate which usually is $200 for the video and rights. This video will get you started but we can also discuss bundle packages to succesfully get you through Q4 with content that is built specifically for you." Or something like that. To kindly use Q4 as urgency + your value and something they feel they get "free" If that makes since. Hopeuflly that gives some ideas
Happy Saturday!
What are you all up to this weekend? I am filming with my children for a popular steel drum instrument that I’m now on a retainer style partnership with. I delivered a ton of content to them a couple months ago and they loved it. I was just invited into their Slack channel. They offered me my standard rate, but I negotiated with the brand so that they’re not just paying me, they’re paying my children. So they increased the rate by $200. I’ll be paying my boys and putting it in their savings / piggy bank. The concept is going to be hours of filming with at least 36 unique scenes. Do you work your business on weekends? Do you involve your family in your UGC? Why or why not?

@Jaclyn Forero that sounds super awesome! For me I’m not sure really I know I need to focus on talking head videos for my portfolio and people say to grab some from my tts page but I don’t feel their quality. I’d say if you wanted to give me tidbit tips on how to excel my content a little at a time? Not be overwhelming thou ?😅
