Of course, this server is full of “newbies,” I try to reach as many people to help them change their lives with copywriting. People who show an interest join, just like you did. Is every single one of them going to turn into a world-class copywriter? Probably not. Some people go on to choose other business models, focus on family life, or stay in the 9–5 grind. And you know what? That’s totally fine. Copywriting isn’t for everyone. I have no hard feelings towards them. We’re all human and get to make our own choices. Just because a prospect didn’t open 1 or 2 of your messages, that doesn’t mean you should write them off. By sending them free value, you increase your chances of the message getting opened. The same applies to follow-ups. Consistently following up is the money maker. One of my 1–1 students is the copywriter for PrinceEA (he has 2.4M followers on IG) It took him 7 months of follow-ups and free value to close the deal. Oh… and don’t send AI 💩. Your prospect will know, and you’ll be ignored. People want their marketing to be unique, not some GPT trash that’s been tweaked a little bit. Doing these important things isn’t a waste of time. Today, Tyson talks about the importance of research. You cannot just write what sounds good to you; your copy should truly resonate with the target audience. THE 3 PILLARS: 1)Avatar Research - You need to know exactly who the content is made for. You can't write copy as if addressing a teenage boy when your core audience is middle-aged women, it simply won't resonate with them. 2)Competitor Research -Instead of wasting time trying to reinvent the wheel, look at what already works and build upon it. 3)Brand Voice Research -The copy should not sound like you; it should sound like your client. Make sure to involve their personality, use their keywords, wit, jokes, and unique style in the copy.
